Here are the highlights of the space: *Sleep 6 total - Main level plus loft sleeps 4 and includes a primary bedroom with a Queen bed and loft with twin beds. The basement apartment sleeps 2 with the second Queen bed. *Please note the primary bath is the only bath in the main cabin and is accessible through the primary bedroom. *Large open concept kitchen is equipped with a professional gas range perfect for trying some new recipes. Coffee bar is kept well stocked for our guests. A s’mores bar is available along with marshmallow roasting sticks, a hot cocoa bar is added during ski season. Please note our generous supply of paper products, coffee bar items, s’mores items, etc. will not be replenished during your stay. *A Roku TV in the upstairs living room and a second Roku TV is in the downstairs apartment. For your convenience Roku TVs are operating in Guest Mode. For bookings with 3 or more guests the apartment is added to your reservation which includes a kitchenette, the laundry room, second living room with TV, second private bathroom and second queen bed. The only spaces with no guest access are the locked storage closet in the apartment and the interior stairs between the main cabin and apartment. All of our cabins have free parking. A covered carport is available at Tanglewood. Our driveway has been graded to allow for parking up to 3 vehicles. The best way to reach me is through the Airbnb message platform. Be close to everything Boone has to offer. Appalachian State University, skiing, hiking, snow tubing at Hawk’s Nest, Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls. The cabin is also 15 minutes from Todd in a bend of the South Fork of the New River. Great for kayaking and tubing. Driving through Todd you'll arrive at West Jefferson perfect for a stroll through the art district, downtown shops or visiting the farmer's market. AWD or 4WD vehicle will be necessary in winter. The private gravel road and steep driveway can be a challenge to navigate in snow and ice. The driveway was regraded February 2023. *Please review the lease agreement which becomes binding at booking under “House Rules”. *Our check in time is 4 pm. We send a message when the cabin is ready, and you may check in even if it's earlier than your normal check in time (at no extra charge). Checkout time is 10 am. *Please be mindful of the weather. The privately maintained gravel road leading to the cabin has a lot of curves and is narrow in spots and may become icy in winter weather. In the event of snow, it may be necessary to park at the bottom of the driveway. A 4-wheel drive or AWD vehicle IS NECESSARY in winter weather. *Please keep in mind this mountain cabin is close by town but on a gravel road in a neighborhood with a steep driveway. Due to the driveway and steps to enter the log cabin, Tanglewood may not be ideal for a guest with limited mobility. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the host. Either AWD or 4WD is recommended even in mild weather. **Free WiFi is included. Do not unplug or alter the router or modem in any way. Roku TVs will be set to Guest Mode. Bring your own streaming channel credentials to log in. (Netflix, Disney, etc.) *Wooded areas are homes to critters such as but not limited to deer, bear, squirrels, rodents, spiders, ants, and insects. We are contracted with a pest control company with scheduled treatments; however, we cannot guarantee that any such critters will not be visible in or around the cabin. The presence of any such critters does not entitle the guest to a refund. Please do not leave doors or windows open without screens! *To protect your vacation investment, we encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
