Perfectly located between downtown Seattle, Olympia, and the peninsula’s beautiful Olympic National Forest (approximately an hour’s drive from each), the world is your oyster. Speaking of oysters, some of Seattle’s best are farmed in this area and available from Minter Oyster Company, less than a mile away. At Minter's, you'll also find fresh crab and shrimp for a seafood feast. You can also visit the Minter Creek Salmon & Fish Hatchery to learn more about salmon and how we're helping ensure their survival. From Whale's Tale Cottage access to the beach is at the front of the neighborhood, about three minutes away, at the front of the neighborhood, and accessable via a locked gate. If you feel like exploring further, take a harbor tour. Nearby Allyn boasts a PGA golf course at Lakeland Village. Kayak and boat rentals are available in Allyn or Belfair, both about seven miles from the home. Port Orchard, just 15 minutes away, is a mecca for those interested in antiques and treasure hunting. Phones open 9am to 7pm every day. IF dogs area allowed, there is a quantity and weight limit, with a per-day, per-dog fee. For security, there may be outwardly facing security cameras, capable of constant recording depending on staffing. There may be interior decibel meters to report excessive noise.
