Five Star Gold Award Accommodation. The space MerryView is a traditional stone and slate cottage which is part of an old Northumbrian Farm Stead. The cottage is refurbished to the highest standard with a country house feel and mix of antique furniture. The cottage is warm, spacious, and light with full-length picture windows where you can watch wildlife from the comfort of an armchair. Bathrooms are clean, fresh, and bright with towels and linen provided. Beds are super comfortable high quality, made by Sealy, and there are lots of sheep to count surrounding the cottage! We provide a lovely welcome hamper packed full of tasty treats to enjoy on arrival, and the kitchen is perfectly equipped to make all your holiday meals. There are lots of lovely places to eat out nearby and some deliver to the cottage. There are gardens front and rear that are planted with flowers and shrubs for seasonal displays, with garden furniture to sit and enjoy the peace, quiet and tranquillity, nothing but the sounds of birds. We do have chickens that sometimes visit the gardens. If you like walking, there are many routes from the cottage door over moorland and through beautiful rolling countryside and country lanes.
