Curated over two floors, the open-plan living accommodation feels spacious with vast vaulted ceilings and french doors opening out into the garden. The barn is flooded with light, and has cosy underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. The large kitchen has been kitted out with high quality appliances, granite worktops, limestone flooring, electric range oven, plus a kitchen island with sit up bar area - perfect whilst cooking up a feast for family or friends to enjoy. Step up into the impressive open-plan sitting and dining area where evenings can be spent playing a board game or two before retiring upstairs to one of the two delightful bedrooms. The king-size master bedroom boasts an expansive feature window framing the countryside that surrounds the barn. The second bedroom can be made up as either a king-size bed or twin single beds - ideal for younger guests or friends joining you in your hideaway. Both rooms are complimented by a luxury family bathroom featuring a freestanding bath and large walk-in shower. Returning to the ground floor, the french doors lead out to the huge garden mainly laid to lawn, and a patio area offers the perfect opportunity for a summer barbecue. During your stay, feeding the chickens is a must. Don't forget to say 'hi' to the friendly sheep that surround the garden too. Set within the grounds of the family farm, Tockwith Lodge Barn will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed after spending a short or long break in the Yorkshire countryside. The village is just a short 12 mile drive from McArtherGlen designer shopping outlet if you fancy a spot of retail therapy, or a little further afield Newby Hall and Gardens is a perfect day out for all ages; they even have a miniature ride on train. Bedroom two With twin 3' single beds (can also be converted to a super-king size bed on request, please specify at time of booking). Family bathroom With freestanding bath and handheld shower head, large walk-in shower, WC, heated towel rail and wash basin. Outside: Large gardens mainly laid to lawn with outdoor dining furniture.
