The harbor is 1 minute walk away (150 m) and offers a magnificent view of the islands Rugen and Bock. The Barhoft National Park Observation Tower is located on the shore of the Bockfahrwasser in the immediate vicinity of the National Park Information Exhibition. In the village directly there is a small supply shop, fish directly from the fisherman and a good food restaurant. There is also a playground, a lookout tower and a bike trail from Barhoft to Stralsund and west towards Barth. Barhoft is a small district of the municipality of Klausdorf, about 12 km north of Stralsund in Vorpommern. It has about 100 inhabitants and a small harbor.
