The Barhoft National Park Observation Tower is located on the shore of the Bockfahrwasser in the immediate vicinity of the National Park Information Exhibition. In the village there is a small supply store, fish directly from the fisherman and a good restaurant. There is also a playground, a lookout tower and a bike trail leads from Barhoft south to Stralsund and west towards Barth. Barhoft is a small district of the municipality of Klausdorf, about 12 km north of Stralsund in Vorpommern. It has about 100 inhabitants and a small harbor.
