Wonderful villa in a small town with private pool, close to Barcelona

Mountainview, swimming pool with Spa and cosy village with small medieval town centre Casa Lacuna is the place for you, if you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a house of high standard inside, and with a fantastic pool area with the beautiful view over the mountains. You can enjoy this view from one of the many terraces, from the outdoor Spa, in a sun lounger enjoying the sun, and even from your bed, as several of the bedrooms have double-doors to the upstairs terrace and direct view over the mountains. The kind owner Maria has moved to her new small designer apartment in the corner of the property, where she share her time between there and her apartment in Barcelona. She will of course leave you with full privacy and you are welcome with questions of any kind. In exchange, she has reformed the main house, so it is now a brilliant holiday home with 8 bedrooms distributed on the three floors of the house, and very spacious inside and outside. On the ground floor you will find the well-equipped kitchen, two different dining rooms, living room with TV and a toilet. There is direct access to the terrace with barbecue and of course the large swimming pool, which is perfect for a cooling dip in the hot Catalan summers. Upstairs on the first floor, there are 5 bedrooms all with their own terrace or balcony and 3 bathrooms. Three of the rooms are double rooms with double beds, one bedroom is a double room with single beds and the last bedroom is a triple room with single beds. The 3 bedrooms on the top floor are smaller, perfect for the children. Two of the rooms are triple rooms with 3 single beds and the last room is a double room with a double bed. There is air-conditioning in the dining room and one on the upper floor. Furthermore, there are ventilators in all bedrooms. A big quality of Casa Lacuna is also the situation of the nearby village, where you can easily walk. The distance is only about 900 meters to the small cosy square in the medieval nucleo of the village. Here you find a couple of restaurants and a bakery. There is also a small supermarket. Another advantage of having the village close is that you can use the football field and the playground, if your children need more activity than the house can offer. The house is also an excellent base for visiting the Penedés wine district, as you, within 30-45 minutes drive, find numerous bodegas, big and small offer wine tastings, often in combination with a lunch option. We also like ourselves very much the regional capital of Vilafranca del Penedés, where you find a lively town center with many restaurants in all levels. If you drive a bit further, the beaches of Costa Daurada are 50 minutes away and a day trip to Barcelona, only 1 hour 15 minutes away will also be tempting, while the days fly away in the relaxing settings. If you want to explore nature, there are several hiking routes in different levels, or perhaps explore the area by bicycle. Come and enjoy life in Casa Lacuna with friends and family!
