Location Our lovingly furnished vacation home from 1820 is located in North Frisia on the Eiderstedt peninsula in the middle of the historic center of the village of Oldenswort opposite the medieval church. The pretty village is characterized by its old trees and surrounded by lush fields and meadows on which horses, cows and sheep graze. Here you can observe an incredible variety of seabirds, because Eiderstedt is located directly in the national park and World Natural Heritage Site Wadden Sea. Bakery and shopping are within walking distance. Very close by are the famous Rote Haubarg and the Brasserie des Herrenhaus Hoyerswort, two restaurants with a very special flair. St. Peter-Ording with its extensive sandy beaches is a 25-minute drive away. The pretty harbor towns of Tönning (9.5 km) and Husum (21 km) and also the Dutch town of Friedrichstadt (13 km) are great excursion tips for the surrounding area. A great children's playground is 400 m away from the cottage. Amenities The 140 sqm vacation home is comfortable and furnished with a lot of love for detail. From the spacious entrance area you can reach the open kitchen, where you will not miss anything: ceramic stovetop, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, toaster, kettle and much more. The large dining table invites you to a delicious family dinner or extensive holiday breakfast. The perfect retreat: the cozy living area with its small library welcomes you with its sofa armchair corner for cozy hours in front of the crackling fireplace. The modern shower room on the ground floor completes the picture. A closed wooden staircase leads to the upper floor, which is equipped with two spacious bedrooms, both with a double bed (180 x 200). On the gallery there is an additional small bed (90x180). Upstairs there is another toilet at your disposal. The beautifully landscaped, sunny and sheltered garden has its charm in all seasons. Here you can watch the bees at work, harvest herbs, barbecue on the terrace, watch migratory birds and look at the starry sky.
