Caldhu Cottage - luxury accommodation for 6

Caldhu Cottage is a beautiful, red sandstone, cottage, tucked away down a private track on the edge of the Lake District. The cottage has been recently renovated to a high standard and offers accommodation for 6. Set in a 2.5 acre plot, the grounds include the original walled-garden, now being cultivated as a wild-flower meadow, ancient woodland and an orchard. Perfectly situated with easy access to the mountains, including Scafell Pike, and the coast, with loads to do nearby for everyone. The space Caldhu Cottage has 3 bedrooms - two doubles and a twin - and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. Please note that as an old cottage it does not have en-suite facilities and just one bathroom (with shower and bath) shared between all guests. There is however a second toilet downstairs. Other things to note The cottage is heated by a ground source heat pump. As with all heat pumps and underfloor heating changes to the temperature are slow and can take a day off so to take effect. So if you are too hot or too cold please don't hesitate to get in touch early in your holiday so that the heating can be adjusted accordingly. The heat pump is supplemented with a log burning stove and we provide a starter basket of wood and kindling. Additional wood can be bought locally at the Esso garage or at Tynedales in Holmrook.
