We are located in the Monadnock region, 25 minutes from Keene NH in the quaint historical village of Hancock. The house is located on Main Street within minutes walking distance to the John Hancock Inn, the Hancock Market, Fiddleheads Café and the Town Beach. Our home was built in 1807 and has many of the features and uniqueness associated with a 217 year old home. The Monadnock area offers many outdoor activities including golfing, fishing, skiing, hiking, biking or just relaxing on the porch. The space The house has a lovey front porch and a side deck overlooking the woods. Both these areas are a great place to start your day enjoying your morning cup of coffee, reading a book or just sitting with friends and enjoy the day. The four bed rooms and a bathroom are located upstairs. On the first floor is the kitchen, living room, washer and dryer and a second bathroom. Guest access The entire house is available except for the attic and barn. Please note that when we have guest checking out on a Sunday morning, we can not accept new guest checking in on Sunday afternoon. The house will be available Monday afternoon. Other things to note Hancock is a great spot if you ride a bike. There are many nice routes to travel. Also in the area are many golf course, ski areas, lakes for canoeing and kayaking. There are a number of hiking trails at the Harris Center and Mt. Monadnock is not that far. There are also a number of nice walks in town. At the end of the day you can look forward to sleeping on a Casper mattress to be ready for the next day. Additionally the Peterborough Players is about five miles from the house and the Hornburg Brewing Company is around a five minute drive. Another nice place to check out is The Farm at Wolf Pine Hollow. Their website list upcoming events. They are located just a few minutes from the house.
