Out of respect for those who are looking for a natural retreat with lots of wildlife: No Pets, Children,ATVs Located on a “back 40” is a small, one bedroom cabin built in the 1960s. Recently updated with new plumbing and electrical, you will have a comfortable stay, away from most everything. The lake view is stunning!Cellphone receiption is good (at least for Verizon) This is a great place to get away for some quiet time. Please note this is a place for the more adventure spirited person. While not far from town it can feel a bit remote at night. There is one other place across the lake. The driveway down to the cabin is steep with parking for one vehicle next to the cabin. If you are bringing a boat or trailer it can be parked at the top of the hill. Our little lake is very close to both Yellow Lake and Devils Lake which are both very popular for fishing and recreational uses. Their Public landings for these two lakes are only 1 1/2 miles away. Gandy Dancer trail for biking/hiking is only 1/2 mile away. Located 2 miles north of Webster, you are only minutes away from the casino in Danbury and other popular spots in Burnett County. I will meet you at the end of the driveway, show you where to park and show you around the cabin. If you need anything during your stay we live only minutes away and wish to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If you enjoy fishing or boating the landings for Yellow Lake and Devils Lake are less than 2 miles away. The setting is very rural with a long private driveway to the cabin which is located on 40 acres of private property including a small, shallow lake. The property is heavily wooded with lots of wildlife and walking trails. There are a pair of swans with a signet, a pair of loons, and ducks with ducklings, so no pets or children under 12 are allowed in order to preserve a quiet environment for the wildlife. Sorry. There is no beach area and lake level is low this year. The water is great for swimming but there are lily pads and a weedy lake bottom to wade through to get out to clearer, deeper water. This is a very rustic area. Gandy Dancer biking trail is 1/2 mile away. Burnett County Guide Magazines are available at the cabin. This location is very rural so you will need your own transportation Bring bikes and travel the Gandy Dancer Trail only 1/2 mile away. Bring your own boat and access Yellow Lake and Devils Lakes less than two miles away. The county offers many ATV trails nearby. No ATVs are allowed to run on the cabin trails/property in order to keep this a quiet area for wildlife. The lake level is low this year so you may want to bring water shoes if you plan to wade or swim. While the water is crystal clear there are lily pads and lake weeds along the rustic shoreline with no beach type setting. The bottom is sandy but has sediments and tree branches in areas.
