You will love this cute apartment under it's own roof, if you enjoy an inside / outside life-style, "bird traffic", and a quiet residential neighbourhood. The place is meant for 1 or 2 adults, who appreciate their own little private space and tranquility as much as nature & modern living. The kitchen is fully equipped, even with an oven, so you can easily prepare your favourite foods. Dedicated work space: We'll be glad to set this up for you at the table in the living room, if you wish. With a monitor, an office chair and a surge protector for 110 V and 220 V. You'll have your very own space with a separate entrance from your own off-street parking spot. Dear guests, our little sidehouse is meant to be your private space, where you can feel more like a resident than like a visitor. We are permanently living next door with our dogs and cat and bunnies, ducks and water turtles. And we are there for you, if you need us. With regards to interaction: Our take is: "If it is happening, great. If it doesn't happen, great." We entirely leave the choice for or against it up to you and will go with the flow. :-) We feel super privileged to get to live in the upscale residential neighbourhood of Sabadeco, where the gardens are lush and the "bird traffic" dense. Nature lovers will find our neighbourhood very quiet and private, while city-lovers will probably find it "way too quiet and boring". hahaha. We just love it! The next beaches (Andrea I + II) are about a 5 minutes' drive away. To the next supermarket and restaurant, you'll probably drive about 8 minutes or so. To "downtown Kralendijk" it'll take you about 10 minutes. Beautiful nature walks and runs can start right at your doorstep. Are you avid divers? Very close by (at dive site Oilslick) the folks from Mastery Diving Research Center have created their little piece of paradise. Their focus lies on the exploration and documentation of more technical dive sites. They also offer a wide range of Global Underwater Explorers Training Programs. And in Hato, our fun friends from 4Wheel Diving are located. Their speciality are dives "like a local on their free day", i. e. dive sites beyond the official dive map. Please know, at our apartment, there's no divers' facilities. Your gear will be best rinsed & stored at the dive center of your choice. Having a car is an absolute must, when you come and stay with us. You have your very own off-street parking space right at your entrance gate. PS You will appreciate a car, not a scooter, golf kart, quad or any other vehicle. Allow our plants a bit time to grow tall, lush and shady, please :-) Frequently asked questions: Is the house airconditioned? Yes and no. ;-) The house is meant as an inside-outside living experience. There's an air conditioner installed in the bedroom and one in the living room. If you choose to use it, please do it mindfully and sustainably with all windows closed and always, always, always switch it off, when you're leaving the house. The houses here are not insulated to keep the coolness, so "island style" use of airconditioning means to use it, when we are enjoying it. You know, electricity supplies from the grid are limited and the increase of new electricity users on the island is disproportionate. Is the listing appropriate for allergy sufferers? Please know that our cat Orchid might pay you a visit or two and give you some affection (please do not feed her as she has a sensitive stomach). What to expect about housekeeping, change of bedlinen and towels during your stay? There are no additional services included in the rental of the apartment. Everything from vacuum cleaner, to mop to a washing machine and drying rack, as well as props and products, are provided. So you have it easy to keep your space neat and clean and freshen it up, whenever you feel like it. Good to know: Visitors to Bonaire are required to pay a visitor entry tax upon entry to the island.
