The space Our cottage sits next to the home we live in, on ~2 acres of wooded and landscaped space. It is just a few steps to the beach directly in front of the cottage, and about a 30 yard walk to the Long Beach on the other side of the property. As you walk from one beach to the other you will pass the swing, the hammock and the dock. Please note: There is NO SMOKING allowed on the property. Guest access In addition to the cottage itself, guests can utilize the beaches, where you can relax and go for a dip, the dock, where you can drop a line to fish, and the driveway where there is a Pickleball net for some friendly competition. Exclusions: Gas grill on the property is not available for use by guests, but you are welcome to bring your own portable grill for use on the grass. Kayaks and mini sailboat are not available for use by guests, but you are welcome to bring your own kayak or paddle board. Lake Wylie water safety rules require you to wear a life preserver and a whistle while on the water. Other things to note Just 15 minutes to Carowinds Amusement Park. Just 45 minutes to US White Water Training Center. Just 25 minutes to Crowder’s Mountain and King’s Mountain Military Historical Park. Just 20 minutes to McDowell Nature Preserve. Just 40 minutes to the Billy Graham Library. Guests can walk or bike a street route within a 3-mile radius, that will take them through neighborhoods along the lake’s edge.
