The area itself has gained status as a National Trust for Scotland for its historic mountains, with the Torridonian sandstone dating back 750 million years and the Lewisian Gneiss rock dating even further back a whopping 2,600 million years old. The village centre comprises a local shop, The Torridon Inn hotel and pub, a youth hostel, a community centre and a deer museum. The west coast boasts incredible secluded beaches scattered around the outskirts, including Apple Cross Beach, Coral Beach and Gruinard Beach to name a few. Other popular attractions surrounding the area include Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve and View Point, the gateway to the Skye Bridge and the Inner Hebridean Islands. Torridon is a thrilling holiday destination filled with adventure, history and culture to explore.
