The village of Bowness on Solway is best known for being located at the start (or end) of Hadrian's Wall in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Located in the centre of the village on the former site of the Roman Fort of Maia which was the second largest fort on Hadrian's Wall and within a 5 minute walk of the sea front Bowness House Farm provides 4 self catering holiday cottages in the courtyard, the orchard is home to 4 shepherds huts and a luxurious 7 room bed and breakfast is in the old farmhouse. Guests have complimentary access to the fully equipped gym and breakfast is served in the onsite Bistro open for breakfast, lunch and dinner or to simply enjoy a refreshing drink.
