Our fifth house we added to Lake Vista Properties. We chose this house for its unique A-frame style and the wall to wall glass pane that makes up the back of the house. The seasonal view of Lake Cumberland is amazing! Therefore, we named the property Window Lake. The majority of the home is lined in cedar. The main level holds a full size bathroom with a washer and dryer, a bedroom with a queen size bed, kitchen, and living area that has plenty of floor space for you to bring an additional air mattress. Deck access is off the living area. A set of stairs takes you to the loft that holds a king bed and has access to a small Juliet deck that faces the front of the property.Window Lake sits on an acre and a half with plenty of room to enjoy the outside with play. A fire pit area is located in the perfect spot to be able to enjoy the lake view at dusk. Parking space is available on the driveway which has been recently modified to accommodate a boat and trailer, there is also a covered shelter to park underneath. The house is yours. Window Lake is located about 15 minutes from our home. If you need anything I can be there to assist very quickly. If not, you won't see me at all. I am always a text away. A true "diamond in the rough". Window Lake is located in Burnside, which is a sister city to Somerset. Burnside, the only city on Lake Cumberland, is a small city with so much potential. Throughout history much has changed. When the house was originally built, water had to be delivered to the property. At the time, somewhat remote, city water wasn't available. The cistern is actually located underneath the front deck. You can still see black colored piping that lines the back of the property and a pump system on the lower deck. Somerset is growing by the day with plenty to entertain yourself with.If Lake Cumberland isn't enough, try visiting Cumberland Falls, South Fork Scenic Railway or Mammoth cave.
