All you can hope for while taking in the fresh air and starry sky with no light pollution. And don't forget smores made by the huge stone firepit down by the lake or in the comfort of your own tiny cottage. Enjoy just sitting and reading a book or taking in the sights and sounds of nature in the Adirondack chairs lakeside. The host has thought of just about everything you need to make your stay the best it can be! PROPERTY: There are eight secluded, roomy acres to explore. Serene lake setting with fish to drown your concerns and worries away. Fishing novice or simply looking to try? Ask the host; she enjoys sharing her skill and is passionate about fishing. KITCHEN: well appointed kitchen with stove, microwave, Keurig, full size refrigerator w/ freezer, utensils and everything for your cooking needs. Newly added S’mores maker inside too. We do provide coffee, creamers, tea, and sugar along with spices and cooking oils. SLEEPING SPACE: There is a Queen bed tucked away in the corner to fall asleep to the sound of silence and nature! The spacious sectional sofa n the living room converts to as close to a full size bed as you can get. Great for kids or small adults. Sound machine included. BAATHROOM: Bathroom has all the necessities you need! Shampoos, conditioners, soaps, hairdryers.... you name it, its here for you! There is an amazing spa like outdoor shower just off of the common area if you choose to be so much closer to nature and enjoy a peaceful shower outdoors! Yes, there is hot water! Outdoor shower is seasonal. GATHERING GROUNDS: At the common gathering area you will find an array of rocking chairs, comfy loveseat and chairs with cushions and pillows to rock the day away. The space is great for stargazing as there is no light pollution what so ever. If you are a bird watcher, the host has been able to identify over 27 bird varieties with the help of Merlin, the ap. Peacefulness abounds here. Cell service is great here if you must be on the phone. Wifi is also available. Please know she loves this place and is so happy to be able to share it with others. FAQ: Yes, we do have ability to charge your EV. We offer a 110 V outlet and a 30 amp, you must supply your adapters and please notify us that you need to plug in. Is there heat and A/C? YES!!!!! Thermostatically controlled heat and A/C Do you have amenities for children? No we do not have any furniture items of any sorts for children. We are limited on storage space in the cottage and unfortunately at this time we do not offer items of that nature. If there is something specific you are looking for, please do not hesitate to ask. Can you swim in the lake? NO SWIMMING in the lake. There are tree branches, limbs, etc., along with snapping turtles. Is it safe for kids? Please note that while we have done our best to make the cottage safe for everyone, it may not be suitable for all young children. The property has an a relaxing and peaceful small lake just a short walk away from the cottage. The waters edge and forest has many entrances and exits. Please use your best judgement as parents. Is there hot water at the outside shower? Yes!!! How big is the space? approximately 1000 square feet Is there a grill? Yes. Charcoal is needed. Is it dark? Yes, it is dark at night. We have little to no light pollution. If you are used to a lit up night, please be aware that it is dark here in the country at night. We do not have street lights. We have ambient lighting around certain areas, but we again, have little to no light pollution. Is it safe? Yes, it is very safe here. Pool is seasonal. Hours are 11 am to 5 pm. Host is flexible on hours, so please be sure to ask for extensions. We are pet friendly and do charge a fee. Host prefers you message her with info on your pet. There are free range chickens and ducks on the property. Absolutely no chasing of any creatures by pets or children. If a pet injures or kills another duck or chicken there is a 500.00 fee for the loss of that animal. Absolutely no throwing of any objects into the pond. This is a first floor unit with a unit above. You must notify the host if issues arise. If something is not working or breaks, you must notify your host asap. We do have an occasional storm in the warmer months. At times the electricity may blink or go out for a short amount of time. With this being said we have made provisions for outages to include drinking water and alternative toileting facilities. We generally DO NOT loose power, but please be advised that circumstances with nature are out of our control. We also do not refund if you show up for your booked stay and it rains. DISCLAIMER: Some bedding, décor, throw pillows, snacks, cold drink options, may differ from that in the photos as we launder and wash all linens between guests so those items are swapped out often and snacks we provide what is currently available in stock locally. But rest assured you will receive the same level of service and cleanliness during your visit.
