The Andrews Ferry Cottage

Our dog-free cottage has a waterfront, a large deck, and a screened-in porch that offer views across the lake of Albany Mountain. Kayak on Lake Keewaydin, relax by the shore, or sit by the lakeside firepit. Take a hike on a nearby trail in the Western Foothills or stroll around the lake. With 3 bedrooms, a loft, and a kitchen that opens up to the dining and living room with a cathedral ceiling, the Cottage has a modern design and full kitchen as well as beautiful, unique decorating. The space A long, elevated deck stretches across the lake side of the cottage. Connected to the deck is a large, screened-in porch with additional seating which also has fine views of the lake and a ping pong table. The spacious living room has huge picture windows (and plenty of board games for long, relaxing evenings). A short path through the ferns leads to the lake, where outdoor seating, a firepit, and two kayaks await. A dock (perfect for morning coffee) stretches out into the lake and offers swimming access. Our family's cabin is located next door, and is used from time to time by various generations, so please keep looking if you're looking for a place to party. Route 5 runs nearby so there is some traffic noise (not heavily traveled, but several cars or trucks per minute at the height of the season). This is a lovely spot, but it's not remote. Guest access There is room for two cars on-site at the end of a shared driveway and keypad entry into the kitchen. Other things to note There is a ramp that leads into the house and the master bedroom and bathrooms are on the first floor, so while the home isn't fully handicapped accessible it is quite convenient as there are no steps required for entering the Cottage or for staying there.
