This charming, cozy, 4 season cottage overlooks the Moon River in the heart of Bala, just 12 minutes off the 400! With over a half-acre of land, this gem is located within minutes to the grocery store, Don’s Bakery, Beer Store, LCBO, The Kee, markets, the beach, hiking trails, snowmobile trails & more. 2 minutes to Bala (15 min walk) 10 minutes to Port Carling 15 minutes to Gravenhurst 25 minutes to Bracebridge Cottage is fully equipped for you to enjoy, just bring your personal items! The space This recently renovated cottage is full of things to do! In the warmer months, enjoy the use of our two kayaks around the lake, read a great book on the dock, gather on the lakeside deck equipped with a built-in bench & high top table, and enjoy quality time around the outdoor fire pit. In the cooler months, enjoy the fall foliage or snow covered trees from the cottage, enjoy the hiking, ice skating and snowmobile trails in the area, challenge your friends or family to a board game, curl up beside the fireplace and watch your favourite shows and movies. The cottage is fully winterized with baseboard heaters as well as an indoor fireplace. In the summer months, air conditioning is available. All bedrooms are equipped with new beds, pillows, sheets, quilt set and comforters. The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook your favourite meals and enjoy around the dining table with your family and friends. There is a propane BBQ to grill your favourites! The laundry area has a new washing machine and dryer if you choose to use them. There are floaties for you to enjoy during your stay. Cottage is equipped with a smart TV, wifi & cable. Guest access You will have access to the entire cottage space. Please refrain from going on the neighbour’s property. Other things to note Low Season: September - June (2 night minimum) High Season: July-August (7 night minimum stay Friday-Friday) Dock: The floating dock is available for use from May long weekend until Thanksgiving. Winter access: The cottage is located on a main road that is plowed by the city so there are no issues for winter access. The driveway will also be cleared by a company we have hired each time there is a large snowfall.
