About the host
Description
Welcome to our "Ferienwohnung Anno 1926" Taubenschlag Our apartment is located in Mertesdorf, the oldest wine village in the Ruwer Valley, close to Trier, the oldest city in Germany. Due to the good bus connection, you can reach the city center of Trier every 30 minutes from the bus stop directly at the apartment. Other things to note Our apartment "Taubenschlag" is a lovingly newly renovated apartment located in the attic of our house. A cozy apartment with kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Not necessarily for tall people because of the ceiling height (2 m) in the hallway and bathroom, but in the living room, bedroom and kitchen there is plenty of space even upwards. Furthermore, there are shopping opportunities in the neighboring village, which you can also easily reach by bus. In the Ruwer district (3 km) you will find a doctor and pharmacy, as well as a Sparkasse and Volksbank. An ice cream cafe is located in the village, about 500 m from the apartment. As for leisure activities, the outdoor pool is located at the entrance to the village (1.5 km), which is open in the summer months from May to early September. The Ruwer bike path also begins at the entrance to the village. An old railway line was expanded to the bike path (40 km) and it leads you through idyllic landscapes over paths and bridges along the Ruwer (tributary of the Moselle) to the Hunsrück. Along the bike path in the neighboring village of Kasel is also the tourist information. More excursions in the immediate vicinity! Hiking through the vineyards, Ruwerriesling - hiking trail, Mosel bike path (entrance in 3.5 km), Fell visitor mine (6.5 km), Day trips by train from Trier to Luxembourg City (60 km), Saarburg Waterfall (33 km), Koblenz, Moselle and cable car (130 km).
