Arode Hütte Harzilein - Romantic tiny house

Enjoy nature in this unique tiny house: Harzilein cabin offers everything you will need for a romantic stay in the Harz. This 175 year old little half-timbered house has a cozy living room with wood burning stove, sitting area, kitchenette with dining table, a wide double bed as loft above the sitting area, complete bathroom with shower, toilet and sink and an entrance with stove. Behind it is a spacious backyard against the mountain wall with a magnificent view over the village. Hütte Harzilein is intended for those people looking for just that other, that special, that authentic. For people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, something different from the 12 in a dozen hotel rooms and who seek the charm of the atmosphere of yesteryear. If you are still visiting the land of the fairy tales of Grimm, the enchanting German Harz mountains, then stay in the hut of Red Riding Hood's grandmother. Arode Hütte Harzilein is undoubtedly one of the most unique objects in Germany and perhaps the world. This 175 year old half-timbered cottage is a unique tiny house: cozy and cozy with the mountain atmosphere of Bavaria, and then in the Harz ;). From the street, you get to the Hütte via a private entrance. Behind the front door is a wooden hallway through which you enter the cottage. In this portal you will find a mirror and closet space, as well as a small refrigerator (with mini freezer compartment), combi-microwave/oven, 2-burner induction stove for meal preparation. Through an inside door you enter the real living area of the house. Here is a seating area for 4 people with TV, dining table with 4 chairs, wood-burning stove and kitchenette. Above the seating area is the loft with a double bed, which can be reached via a wooden ladder. In a separate side room is the compact but complete bathroom with shower, toilet and sink with mirror. The Hütte is suitable for 2 adults, possibly with a baby or toddler (for which we can provide a travel cot and/or high chair free of charge on request). If necessary, the sofa can be converted into a double sofa bed for a night so that 4 people can stay in the cabin, but this is tight for daytime stays. Dogs are allowed at an additional cost of 10 per night. Behind the cabin there is a 1000 m2 backyard that runs steeply against the slope and adjoins the (fairytale)forest at the back. There is a zigzag path upstairs and there are several furnished terraces to stay. On the highest plateau is a 3-person swing bench. From these terraces, certainly higher up in the garden, you have a beautiful view over the village and the valley. There is also a gas barbecue for outdoor cooking. For people who come with a dog: the garden is completely fenced, so your four-legged friend can run around here freely. Guest access For the accommodation is on the street space to park the car for free. If this place is occupied by guests of Arode Haus Hoheharz, you can park the car for free on the main street, less than 100 meters from the hut. Other things to note This Hütte is standard for 2 people. There is a sofa bed of 190x140 in the sitting area, where 1 or 2 more people can sleep. This is a solution if you are going to explore the Harz during the day, but if you stay indoors with 3 or 4 people all day, this is very tight and uncomfortable. Please keep this in mind if you want to stay here with more than 2 people.
