A short, beautiful walk leads to the mountain top, where you can admire the unforgettable panoramic 360° view, particularly at the hour of the sunset, when the sun sinks into the clear waters of the Ionian Sea. The village Pelekas, a traditional settlement which is located at 272m above sea level, has become famous not only for its two famous beaches (Glyfada and Kontogialos), but also for this exquisite and impressive view, which lead the German emperor Wilhelm II. to built a special mountain lookout, the so-called Kaiser’s Throne.
