Home comfort in a 2-storey self-contained apartment with balcony overlooking gardens in a vibrant village of le Grand-Pressigny Loire Valley. Located within easy reach of chateaux, vineyards, historic towns, Zoo Beauval & Futuroscope. Just a couple of minutes on foot from extensive cycle & walks, heated pool in summer, restaurants, bars & amenities. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & comfortable sofa bed in the salon area sleeps up to 6 people. Cot room & equipment make for a relaxing family stay. The space The property was originally a large traditional stone building for storing grain. Evolved over the years to provide a house, shop, grain store, poultry merchant. Empty & unloved for a number of years we bought the whole place in 2018 having sold the rural retreat 'les Limornières' just up the road that we had hosted guests for the previous 12 years. We now live in the left-hand side of the building spread over three floors. The apartment has been created next door within the thick stone walled barn, providing high ceilings, a light filled & voluminous space. Providing our guests with a sunny south facing & open-plan ground floor with balcony overlooking gardens. A full kitchen, dining area/work space & seating area with woodburner, smart TV with wifi fibre, shower/WC & laundry area. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a cot room & one shower room/WC. Located in village with amenities close by. Direct bus to Tours 80 minutes. TGV Tours - Paris 60 minutes. Airports 60km Tours (TUF) and Poitiers (PIS). Guest access Balcony with deckchairs, parasol bistro table & chairs overlooking gardens to woods beyond. Indoor secure bike/motorbike store. Indoor secure electric bike storage & charge access. A range of adult bikes to borrow & one balance bike for age 2-4 years. Tennis 🎾 rackets for use at the excellent local court (<5 min on foot). Boules 🏐 to borrow if you fancy a game, the locals congregate behind the village church on Summer evenings (<5 min on foot). A range of board games 🎲 Other things to note We have lived & hosted guests in this area (Touraine du Sud) from all over the world since 2008. We have welcomed a range of people from families with small children to adults travelling as a group or couples on a tour of France or Europe.
