Located a few steps from the middle entrance to Peninsula State Park A charming poolside efficiency with soft colors and simple but elegant décor, a fireplace and a kitchenette. With more windows than walls, guests can open the curtains to enjoy light streaming in from three sides. Outside is a private porch with wicker furniture and a flower garden. The Garden King is situated separately from the other units. Parking is right by your door and there is one step up to reach the porch. A bit of history and amenities... The Garden King was part of a home moved up from the Ephraim Wetlands Park to Peninsula Park-View in 1999. It was extensively remodeled and a favorite for guests who come. Guests relax by the fireplace after hiking, biking, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing in the 3,776 acre Peninsula State Park across the road on the quiet middle entrance into Peninsula State Park. It is a wood and a nine iron from the championship golf course entrance. The cottage has A/C, Cable TV with VCR/DVD Player, free WiFi. The kitchen includes a small gas 4 burner stove and oven, microwave and under counter sized refrigerator and microwave. You will find a coffee maker, silverware, dishes, pots and pans, and toaster. The over sized shower in the bathroom is semi-handicapped accessible with a seat and a long shower hose. For privacy and convenience, there is a roomy vanity area outside the bathroom. The Garden King is by the large outdoor heated pool available for guests to use from Memorial through Labor Day. From May through October, there are shared charcoal grills, a fire pit, picnic tables and yard swings and a gathering Room with ping pong and games. Located across from Highland Road, the quiet middle entrance, into Peninsula State Park, it is a wood and a nine iron from the championship golf course entrance. There are bicycles free for guests use from 8 to 5:00 in Peninsula State Park from May through October. Rates are based upon double occupancy. Max occupancy is two. This rental is entirely private, no interior shared space with other guests. It is attached to the main building. Rental includes access to a seasonal heated outdoor pool with poolside gathering room (closed in the winter). There is parking right outside your door and additional parking for a boat. We are normally onsite or nearby to answer questions and assist with bikes as needed. Mid-May through mid-October the front desk window is staffed from 8-5 or later. Memorial - Labor Day, in the morning, we offer FTO coffee and Kringle from 8AM-10AM at the check-in window.. This is truly a lovely spot. Not only can guests reach all the best of Door County from this central location, but right across the street is beautiful 3,776 acre Peninsula State Park! The Park features miles and miles of trails for hiking and biking, award winning scenic Peninsula State Park Golf Course and newly added par 3 short course, Historic Light House, Nature Center, and last but not least a large wonderful sandy beach with silent sport rentals, or launch your own boat. Close by is the famous retro outdoor movie theater Skyway Drive-In. The Cottage is 5 minutes from Peninsula Art School, Door Community Auditorium and American Folklore Theaters. It is near wonderful galleries such as the 2forU Design & Gallery, Fine Line Designs, Hardy Gallery, and Edgewood Orchard Gallery among others. Guests are centrally located to all the shopping Door County has to offer. Guests enjoy the many beaches just minutes away. Guests can use the bikes for free. Uber is now available in Door County.
