Barn apartment near Sight & Sound, Strasburg

Our cozy country barn apartment is located on our 9 acre farmette. Although the setting is very private along a quiet country road, surrounded by Amish farms, we are only about 20 minutes from most major attractions! Take a hike, enjoy a campfire, or just relax and enjoy the view! The space Our cozy country barn apartment is located on our nine acre farmstead. The setting is very private along a quiet country road, surrounded by Amish farms. Visit with the goats, take a hike, roast some marshmallows over the fire, or just relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside from the kitchen window while the kids play outside on the swing-set. When you arrive, you will use the entrance to the side of barn and take the stairs to the second floor. The entire apartment is located on the second floor. As you enter the main space you will see the family room, with a comfortable couch and two accent chairs, along with a Roku TV. The kitchen features a stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator along with a Cuisinart drip coffee maker that features the K-cup option as well. The kitchen is stocked with basic pots and pans, dinnerware, serve ware, and utensils. There is a large farmhouse style dining table with seating for six next to the large window allowing you to look out over the farmland, valley and beyond. Since we started out as a more traditional Bed and Breakfast years ago, I enjoy stocking the kitchen with a light supply of breakfast items to get you started out, such as pastries, fruit, coffee, tea, granola, eggs, etc. Going back the hallway, you will find the bedrooms. The main bedroom on the left features a king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom with walk-in tile shower, a designated work space and cozy reading area. The second bedroom on the right features two queen beds and also has an en-suite bathroom with a tub and shower combination. The door at the end of the hallway opens into the laundry room, which is available for your use if you wish. Guest access You are renting a two bedroom apartment located on the second level of our barn-type structure. And although we live in the house on the property, feel free to roam the yard, use the outdoor fire-pit and allow the kids to burn some energy playing on the swing-set! There is plenty of parking space. Other things to note In March of 2021 we finished up some renovations! We’ve replaced beds, updated bathrooms, and installed new appliances and kitchen cabinets. 15 miles from Lancaster City and in the heart of Amish country!
