Our immaculate Bobcat Cabin is great for any family get-together while visiting Hocking Hills, Wayne National Forest, or Ohio University. The Bobcat Cabin offers a great space for entertaining family and friends for a weekend getaway. The beautiful, spacious, open-concept layout gives our guests the ability to enjoy quality time with their loved ones. The space Guests will walk into the Bobcat Cabin to a beautifully remodeled space with knotty pined walls, hardwood flooring, hickory kitchen cabinets, and two comfortable living spaces. The entire cabin has been completely remodeled to make our guests feel like they are at a home away from home. Enter the Bobcat Cabin to a welcoming living space with a comfortable, large sectional that our guests can relax on after an adventurous day in the hills. The fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar gives our guests the ability to cook delicious, home-made meals throughout their stay. Just located off the living room is a beautiful master suite with a luxurious master bath. The master bath has a large, romantic soaking tub great for couples. The second living room offers a great space to cozy up next to the electric fireplace with your loved ones while having a movie marathon. Use the back French door to walk onto the spacious deck. The deck spans the length of the cabin making it great for outdoor entertainment. Our guests can enjoy large family cookouts, relax in the hot tub and stargaze, or head towards the yard to the newly renovated outdoor firepit with wooden benches, Adirondack chairs, and a swing to share stories around the campfire. At the Bobcat Cabin, our guests have ample opportunity to explore, experience, and enjoy all of Southeast, OH. Having two Ohio University alumni in the family, we had to name one of our first cabins the Bobcat Cabin. Bernie, one of the owners, graduated from the Ohio University Graduate Program in 1990. During his time at Ohio University, he met the love of his life, Jennifer, who grew up in the local area and attended Hocking College. One of their children, Sarah, followed Bernie's footsteps in attending Ohio University where she graduated from the program 30 years later, in 2020. Ohio University and Athens are near and dear to our hearts. We have spent years roaming around Ohio University, Athens, and Court Street. To represent our beloved Bobcats, we have displayed bobcat carvings throughout the cabin and decorated it with Ohio décor. We want every Ohio University family to attend an OU family weekend with us at our Bobcat Cabin. Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat! OU oh yeah. At 1st Choice Cabin Rentals, we like to show our guests that we appreciate them. Our guests receive a 10% discount on their next outdoor adventure at Adventure Pro Outdoors. Book a canoe, kayak, or tube rental along the scenic Hocking River or book a guided ATV/UTV tour on Wayne National Forest to experience Hocking Hills like never before. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property. There is a 5-acre lake that is located 1/2 mile down the road, great for catch & release fishing! Guests can contact us for directions. Other things to note Rental rates are subject to change at any time. Our rates are based on a minimum occupancy of 8 guests. Each additional guest is an additional $25 per night. 2 Night minimum for Weekend stays – Friday, Saturday & Sunday. 3 Night minimum for Holiday Weekend - Holiday rates apply for all 3 nights. Taxes are 13.25% additional. We have both 7.25% sales tax and 6% lodging tax added to the rental rates.
