In the middle of the Upper Palatinate cultural landscape, nestled in sunny hills, our art workshop is located on the outskirts of the village. The enchantingly restored house from 1922 forms a magnificent courtyard with the studio and the guest house. The space The Kohlberg Art Workshop is our home. Jürgen is a native of Augsburg, at home on all continents and responsible for our own travel planning - I Martina, Austrian, am a freelance artist and also passionate about traveling the world. We have designed our guest house the way we want to find a very special place when we travel ourselves. Here you will find everything that makes a stay - whether vacation or business - really nice. Up to five people can spread out optimally on 55 square meters and if the weather cooperates, the garden also has a lot to offer. The large room is loft-style and separated by a bookshelf. Various terraces to soak up as much sun as you want, a sunbathing deck by the pond, a gas grill and a fire pit for culinary highlights. Lots of books and games are available for cozy leisure hours. CORONAVIRUS AND HOW WE DEAL WITH IT! In view of the novel coronavirus, the guest house is sterilized every time. At this time when hygiene is extremely important, we would like to remind our guests that our guest house is sterilized by the effective oxidizing effect of ozone. After the usual thorough room cleaning, which is now enhanced by the use of special disinfectants, the ozone generator is placed in the room and runs for 2 hours. Ozone acts as trivalent oxygen – i.e. as a gas already present in nature (it is released, for example, during thunderstorms) – on the air and on air-touched surfaces. Ozone renders bacteria and viruses harmless, destroying mites, insects, bacteria, spores and mold in an absolutely natural, environmentally friendly and safe way. No one is allowed to enter the room while the generator is generating the ozone, as it is harmful to humans and life in general. Afterwards, however, the machine sprays oxygen for 15 minutes and the windows are all opened so that the normal oxygen content in the room is restored. This hygiene guarantee means that every guest can always consider themselves the first occupant of the apartment, because nothing, absolutely nothing, no residues, bacteria or living beings, can withstand the disinfecting effect of ozone. Ozone has been declared a safe agent by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In Italy, it has been used for several years for the sterilization of operating rooms. This is the maximum guarantee of hygiene and safety we can offer you, a well-being that business travelers deserve, and an option that makes your vacation even more enjoyable and safe. Guest access The guest house is separate and has a ground-level entrance, but the living space is on the second floor and is therefore unfortunately not suitable for people with disabilities. The stairs end freely in the living room. If you have small children, you should bring a protective gate. If you arrive by motorcycle, we have a storage facility in the garage. Other things to note In the kitchen you will find a Nespresso machine, a dishwasher and also a kettle. Everything you need for cooking is also available, as well as the basics such as vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. If there's anything else you need for your happiness, there's a bell with us. The beds are of course covered and we have also provided sufficient towels as well as a hairdryer, iron and ironing board and a shampoo, toothbrush, shower gel, notepad. ....and you can get wine from the landlord...
