Across the street is the Elbe indoor swimming pool. In a few minutes' walk you can reach all kinds of shopping centers, restaurants, public transport and also the Magdeburg Opera. Parking is usually possible right in front of the house on the street, at the cheapest rates in Magdeburg for only €3.00/24 hours. The PaybyPhone app is recommended for payment. An electric charging station of the local public utility (SWM) is about 200 meters from the house. Other things to note When arriving by car, you can ideally park right outside the door, at the cheapest rates in all of Magdeburg, namely for only €3.00 for 24 hours (select 12 hours for this). The best way to pay the parking fees is using the Pay by Phone app (note: this only works with German license plates), but you can also pay in cash. In the evening, there are usually spots available right in front of the house; during the day, you may have to drive 50–100 meters further down the street. It is important to make sure that you only park your vehicle after the “Parking” sign; this is approximately at the level of my office. The apartment is located in an environmental zone, which means that a green sticker is required (also available for foreign vehicles at any car dealership upon presentation of the vehicle registration documents for approximately €10). The Savircenter is 900 meters (3,000 feet) away, a 10–20-minute walk depending on your fitness level. From the main train station you can walk to the apartment in about 15-20 minutes.
