La Ogas – Superb country house in Socolari, Romania

With its sunny facade set amid trees, colorful gardens and fruit orchards, La Ogas evokes the quintessential character of true Romanian countryside aestethics. Beautifully restored and renovated interiors and exteriors provide a comfortable vacation home infused with rustic charm, lovely living and dining areas, both in the sleeping/living area, as well as in the terrace and the garden. The 200 year old house has been renovated to the highest standard and is equipped with all modern comforts. The space In the first part of the house, behind an original gate, we have a large inner courtyard, equipped with handmade lounge furniture and entrances to the sleeping areas and the wine cellar. Directly from the inner courtyard, we have access to one of the bedrooms on the left and the entrance to the part of the house with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the right side. Additionally, we have an apartment-style arrangement, with a master bedroom, bathroom with shower, living room with extensible sofa, and a lovely fireplace. Altogether, we have 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with shower, living room with an extensible sofa and a large terrace that can be open in the summer and closed in the winter with panoramic style glass windows and doors. The Master bedroom features a double queen-size bed and the rest of the bedrooms have 2 twin size beds that can be put together or separately. The master bedroom has its own en-suite facilities. All of the bathrooms are equipped with toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper, and toothpaste. We provide clean towels and bed sheets. The bedrooms and the living room are equipped with cable TV, internet access, brand new furniture, and some restored original pieces. In the second part of the property, outside, the sunny private garden surrounded by tall trees is decorated with unique details of flowers, wood, a fire pit with places to sit around the fire, an outdoor main dining terrace, and a barbecue (possibility to have it open or closed with a panoramic solarium door). Our terrace is equipped with air-conditioning/heating, barbecue, pizza/bread oven, large fridge, large freezer, dishes, glasses, cutlery, coffee machine, mini bar, sink, table and seating for 12 people, cable TV, and Wifi. Guest access The whole property is rented to only 1 party per time so privacy is never compromised. This elegant, rustic country house offers a fantastic holiday in total relaxation and natural comfort, ideal for groups or families of up to 9 people. At all times, the property manager is on the grounds (entirely separately from the guests) and handles the check-in, central heating, is there to make the fire for the guests if they do not have the know-how, cleans up the ash, and prepares the barbecue for guests' next use, to assist in any way needed (only when asked). Other things to note Guests in our pension can visit the national park Cheile Nerei, Beusnita waterfall, Ochiul Bei lake, Socolari fortress, Bigar waterfall, Văioaga waterfall, Lacul Dracului, Șușara waterfall, Mănăstirea Nera, Sasca Montană, La Tunele, rent ATVs from nearby locations, bring their bikes, have a barbecue, relax and enjoy the nature. The closest supermarket and gas stations are in the city of Oravita, located approximately 15 km, with a smaller shop located in the village of Socolari, that offers basic necessities.
