The Dairy (cabin) is your private, relaxing 1 br holiday cabin set on 45 acres of partly cleared/forested land, bordered by the river and sub-tropical Dorrigo Heritage Rainforest. Relax in this natural beauty, the views & the sights and sounds of farm & bird life. Walk, swim in the river, kayak. Just 15min drive is Bellingen town with cafes, shops, restaurants, festivals, music, markets. LGBT+ friendly. Birdsong Bellingen. You'll wish you stayed longer... Guest access You can access The Dairy Cabin via a separate driveway entrance and park right outside your accommodation, ready to unpack with ease. There are 3 steps to the front patio area. There's one small step between the main living area to the bathroom. Shower is over the bath. The river access is down grassy slope and can get slippery after substantial rain. People with mobility issues please feel free to check with us prior to booking. Other things to note The Space The Dairy Cabin is a lovingly converted, rustic one bedroom fully self-contained cabin approx 50m from the owners’ home and screened for privacy. Ideally suits couples, or 'cosy' family of up to 4. There's a sofabed trundle that folds out to 2 single beds in the living area for children or as a double for another couple. Main bedroom has queen sized bed with linen and canopy. Lounge room has 3-piece lounge, small dinner table which can be moved around to your desired location inside or out, TV, Wifi (not brilliant), books, games. Large windows and doors can be thrown open in the warmer weather and a pot belly fire is easy to use. Additionally there's A/c for quick heating & cooling. Bathroom has a relaxing bath & shower. Kitchenette: convection microwave, cooktop with 2 gas jets, pots, pans, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery etc and basic cooking spices, spreads and sauces. 2 large undercover decks to relax on (BBQ included), listen to the sound of the river, eat under the stars and generally watch the world go by. All water is sourced from the creek running through Birdsong Bellingen Farm, which is pristine with a mineral like quality, suitable for drinking straight from the tap. Guest Access to Property Explore the farm at your leisure. Note we cannot offer farm 'tours' or participation in our farming activities but you're welcome to pat & chat with farm animals. 15 acres is sub tropical rainforest, joining the heritage listed Dorrigo National Park and Great Dividing Range. Bellinger River lines the lower side of the property and is accessible for swimming, kayaking etc. Star gazing is just amazing on a clear night - see if you can touch the Milky Way! There are jersey cows, goats, fruit and macadamia trees. No PETS please. Smoking outside only please. Registration Details PID-STRA-17803
