Description

Here, in your immersive glass cocoon “Morvand'Ailes”, at the gates of the Morvan Regional Natural Park, the small mountains, meadows and lakes whisper in a low voice the sweetness of the wild nature of the area. Further west, Côte-d'Or's vineyards and grands crus will enhance your memories with their stories and flavours, from Hospices de Beaune to Dijon, via the wine route, the canal & the castles of the glorious Dukes of Burgundy. The space . Set in a green setting in Saulieu, on the grounds where Marie and Benjamin (your hosts) live, your Tiny House is immersed in nature, under the soothing gaze of magnificent trees and close to the most beautiful places in Côte-d'Or. During the day, discover the curiosities of a century-old terroir, marked by the traditional agriculture of yesteryear. In the evening, enjoy stunning views of the stars, in a moment conducive to reuniting with your other half, friends or family. * For your reference * The Tiny House is set back in a sublime natural setting, however, a road passes about a hundred meters away (route de Lyon). The latter is very busy at certain times of the day and calms down in the evening around 7 p.m. We want to be totally transparent with our guests about this. If you are looking for "absolute" calm, we advise you to head to our other destinations (Vosges, Isère, Drôme, Vaucluse, do not hesitate to contact us by message for more information). On the other hand, if you want to be in the heart of the unmissable Côte-d'Or, in an immersive and green setting, you've come to the right place! Your tiny house has all the amenities in 14 square meters perfectly optimized: * Sleeping area: one queen size bed 160x200 cm (2 adults) and one sofa bed (1 extra adult, extra bed) * Kitchen area: fridge, gas hob, sink, utensils, dishes and condiments * Lounge area, dining with table, chairs * Bathroom: Sink, walk-in shower, and eco toilet (dry toilet) * Soap, towels, and bedding provided * Heating by a pellet stove * Ceiling fan to cool off (no air conditioning) * Outdoor furniture (except winter): table, chairs, hammocks * Drinking water via a 5 liter fountain: do not drink the water from the faucets, which is fed by a tank and is used for showers and dishes * Housekeeping included * Free parking For catering, at an additional cost and by reservation at least 48 hours before your stay (then according to availability after this period), your host Marie offers breakfast delivered to your refuge (€12 per person), an aperitif platter (€35 to 40 with wine) and gourmet baskets with Morvan flavors: terrine, biscuit, wine, etc. GOOD TO KNOW: The tiny house "Morvand 'Ailes" is completely self-contained: electricity is produced by solar panels, the kitchen runs on gas, heating is done with a pellet stove and water is stored in a tank. You have all the usual comforts, but the idea of an alternative habitat is also to become aware of your consumption! As a result, a few rules are required during your stay: 1) Except phones and laptops, electrical appliances other than those provided on site should not be connected at the risk of damaging the solar system. It is therefore not possible to use, for example, your hair dryer, a straightening iron or a raclette machine 2) Please do not change the stove settings (except for the temperature) 3) It is strictly forbidden to change the settings of the water heater in the bathroom 4) Sewage is filtered by plants: you are asked to use only the 100% natural products provided 5) No pets allowed (sorry for your four-legged friends, or less) Guest access . Check-in possible after 5 p.m. Check out before 11am Key box available in case of late arrival You have a free space to park, close to the refuge Other things to note . The refuge is set on the grounds of Marie and Benjamin, who live a little further in their home. They are very friendly and rather discreet, but you may come across them during your stay (as well as their dogs) There is no wifi in the property (but the 4G network usually works well on site) The entrance to the refuge is not step-free. Not suitable for people with limited mobility (PRM) The bed linen is washed but not ironed From your refuge, small & big adventures at your fingertips: * The village of Saulieu, its gastronomy and sculptures: 2 min * St. Andrew's Basilica: 2 min * François Pompon Museum: 5 min * Morvan Regional Natural Park: 5 min * Lac de Chamboux: 5 min * Mont Saint-Jean Castle: 15 min * Thil Fortress: 20 min * Missery Castle: 18 mins * Gouloux Saut Waterfall: 20 min * Le velorail du Morvan: 25 min. * The medieval city of Semur-en-Auxois (dungeons, museum, theater): 30 min * Lake of Settons: 30 min. * Chateau d 'Époisses: 30 min. * Lac de Chaumeçon - 35 min * Auxois Animal Park: 35 min * Autun Ancient City, Roman Theater, Janus Temple, and Cathedral Saint-Lazare: 40 min * Chateau de Châteauneuf: 40 min * Chateau de Commarin: 40 min * MuseoParc d 'Alésia: 40 min * Le Canal de Bourgogne: 40 min * Château de Sully in Burgundy: 40 min * Chateau de Chastellux: 43 min * Fontenay Abbey: 50 min * Chateau de Bussy-Rabutin: 50 min * Hotel-Dieu Museum - Hospices de Beaune: 57 min * Bibracte, museum and archaeological site: 57 min * Château de Bazoches, Vauban family home: 57 min * The Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne (from Dijon to Santenay): 1 hour * Dijon, its architectural city and the Museum of Fine Arts of Dijon: 1 hour Located at the exit of the small village Saulieu, hotspots of gastronomy, the terroir and the French flavor, thanks to its huge renowned table: Le Relais Bernard Loiseau, it is an unmissable stop in the region. Stroll through the cobblestone streets of the village and take the time to discover its picturesque heritage of another time, made of stones and old half-timbered houses. Admire the contemporary sculptures of François Pompon, a famous artist honored by the municipality. Embark on a journey through the smallest French mountain range. An unspoiled park, almost unknown and especially wild, where the meadows rub shoulders with forests, lakes & streams on an unspoiled land of the foot of Man, just 2.5 hours from Lyon and Paris. Not far away, crisscross the wine route, discovering the vineyards, wineries, castles & grand crus of Burgundy. Take the opportunity to make a short stopover through the center of Dijon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Don't worry, you're not that far away: from Paris - 2.5 hours from Lyon - 2.5 hours from Dijon: 1 hour de Besançon: 2h from Geneva & Lausanne: 3 hours d 'Orléans - 2.5 hours At Homnest, we give you adventures that are out of the ordinary, in the heart of localities. Our concept? We design sublime Eco-loges, which we install for free with friendly hosts, who want to host. Close to the curiosities of home and their passions. Our ambition is to install 1000 Eco-loges, with 1,000 fantastic hosts, all over the Earth (Antarctica included! ). Welcome to Morvan! And as always, "in Tiny for Homnest Adventures en Côte-d'Or!"
