Our little cottage is in a quiet, calm, peaceful, scenic and serene environment. Relax, laze, chill, detox, refresh and reboot at our humble and natural surroundings. Please come, and be! WaVi Cradle Cottage is eco-friendly, build last year from 80% wood, bamboo, and straw. Brick and cement only in the bathroom and kitchen area. Inside cottage there is a nice loft (with beautiful view of mountain and green terraces) where two people can sleep comfortably. This loft is accessible by fixed, safe and sturdy ladder from bedroom. There is 1 bedroom with comfortable and cozy queen bed, a lovely full bathroom, a tiny cute kitchen and beautiful wrap-around deck on three sides with different areas to lounge and relax. We have floor cushions, seat cushions, Thai cushions, and hammocks to suit every relaxing mood you have. Our bathroom has a surprise that our guests really like, and enjoy very much! We really recommend that guests stay at least two nights or more for better experience at the cottage. There is no air conditioning (not necessary), but there are fans here. Night and early mornings are quite cool, so jacket or sweater will be good. Blankets are available if required. The atmosphere when it’s getting night is very interesting and amazing, several natural noises can be heard of crickets, frogs, geckos, etc. Also you can see many beautiful lights on the hill at night. There are plenty of power outlets available in the cottage. There is lock box for your valuables. We have WiFi that can use around the cottage for basic need internet access. We have electricity at the cottage, also water from village. We need to consider about we live in the village that water sometime can be low in pressure. Most times the water pressure is good. Electricity can sometimes off, but comes back soon normally. There is a mosquito net for the bed and lotion if you prefer that for occasional mosquito. As we live in the middle of lush rice fields, we can see birds, bees, dragonflies and many kind of bugs and insects, but there is no reason to worry, we always keep the cottage clean and safe. There is no washing machine or dryer here. We have clothes stand for drying. We also have very good laundry service nearby at friendly price. In the morning the housekeeper will set breakfast of fresh fruits, cereal, bread and eggs along with coffee, tea or juice as you prefer at the time you like (Breakfast is included in daily charge). In case you wish to have lunch or dinner at the cottage, please ask the housekeeper what would you like cooked fresh for you at a reasonable price. If you are interested she can also teach you how to make local Balinese dishes. You are welcome cooking together with the housekeeper! We grow several vegetable in our garden, and use as much our own vegetable in cooking our meals. You can help in our garden if you wish, or give us your valuable idea and suggestion about kitchen garden. Aqua mineral water is always available at the cottage, feel free to fill your bottle before your hikes to waterfalls. We have refrigerator in the kitchen. Guest access WaVi Cradle Cottage is the name that given to my home, because it is cradled by rice terraces and green all around. Located in quaint rural village of Sambangan, close by from Singaraja (Old Capital City Of Bali). Our place is about 20 minute from Lovina (famous for beaches and Dolphin cruises). The North Bali village of Sambangan is known for its Secret Garden. This Sambangan Secret Garden has 7 spectacular waterfalls from two rivers. In short we can say we have 7 wonderful hidden waterfalls and also one natural stunning lagoon swimming pool in unspoiled forest. From the cottage we just need walking about 15 minutes to the waterfalls ticket office. In a duration of about 1 hour hike you can find 4 waterfalls that are located very near each other. They are Aling-Aling waterfall (60 meter high) the highest one, Kroya Waterfall where you can do natural water slide, Kembar waterfall and Pucuk waterfall where you can jump from height of 6, 10, 16 meters. Other waterfalls you can find in the second river if you are prepared to trek couple more hours. Information on Secret Garden Ticket and Guide: For the ticket entrance without guide is Indonesian Rupiah 10,000/person. This entry ticket does not allow swimming or getting in the waterfalls without guide for safety reasons. For short trekking with local guide it cost Rp 125,000/person and visitor will find 4 waterfall and the guide will show how to slide in the 2 waterfalls..and jump into waterfalls in 3 spot (6m, 10m, 16m high) - includes mineral water and life jacket. The waterfall prices include donation to the environment and village organization. It is recommended you explore the waterfalls with a local guide you can get at ticket office. The guides are trained and have lot of great information about this area. You can also swim or slide safely in the waterfalls when you have a guide present with you. Besides Sambangan Secret Garden, there are several other waterfalls in this area within a hour drive. When staying at WaVi Cradle Cottage we encourage you to go for walks around the area, through gorgeous endless green. We can take you on walks through rice fields and terraces around the cottage or you can explore by yourself. The views are really beautiful with so much green all around. Very energizing, and no city pollution at all! Since a rural area, there is constant farming activities going on depending on the season. We can see farmer working in the fields and taking care of their cows. Around the cottage we can see rice terraces, clove trees, banana trees, papaya trees and other fruit trees, so the air is extremely refreshing. Besides waterfalls, we have hiking trails in hills, atv rides, beaches, dolphin cruises, water sports, scuba diving, snorkeling, etc...all close by. Other things to note THINGS TO NOTE WHEN STAYING AT WAVI: 1. Housekeeper Working Hours: 7-11 AM, 3-7 PM Gardener Working Hours: 7-11 AM, 1-5 PM 2. Natural Ecology: As we are in a lush thriving tropical eco space at the middle of ricefields, at times there can be birds, geckos, lizards, bugs, bees, chickens, cats, dogs, etc. They are all part of the Eco environment and are completely harmless to humans if we just observe, ignore and leave them alone. We do our best to control these but it's their living space too and often we can't do much about them. 3. Dining options: Dinner cooked fresh and served at WaVi can be requested. Our choices are: Chicken Curry 70K IDR / Portion, Vegetable Curry 60K IDR / Portion, Cap Cay (Veg or Chicken) 60K IDR / Portion, Fried rice (Veg or Chicken) 60K IDR / Portion, Fried noodles (Veg or Chicken) 60K IDR / Portion, Chicken Sate 70K IDR / Portion, Gado-Gado (Veg) 70K IDR / Portion, Fruit Plate (25 K IDR/ Portion. There are a few other dining options in 5-15 minutes walking distance near us: Shanti Restaurant, Nia's Place, Bucu Aling-Aling restaurant, Warung Bambu, Maha Hills, Alam Sambangan, etc. In 15 minutes by car or bike there plenty of restaurants in Singaraja city, and 20-30 minutes by car or bike Lovina area has more restaurant and bar choices 4. Extra guests: Please check and confirm the correct number of guests in your reservation. We cannot accept any extra guests who are not on the reservation. You can 'Modify' your reservation to update the correct number of guests coming with you and Airbnb will automatically update the charges for extra guests beyond the initial two persons allowed on the reservation. The extra charge for additional guests beyond those listed in your reservation will be IDR 150,000 (10 USD) per person per night to stay at the cottage you have booked (maximum 4 for the TreeHouse and The Rice Fields Eco Cottage, and 2 for the Eco Hut). Please note: We cannot accommodate or allow any drivers or personal guides to stay the night on our properties, unless they are already on your reservation to stay with you at the cottage booked by you. 5. We can arrange waterfalls trekking (4,5,7 waterfalls with our English speaking recommended guide from the ticket office), Dolphin Cruise in Lovina, Buddhist Temple, Natural Hot Springs, and other interesting visits in the area. 6. Driver /transportation can be arranged for you, please inform us at least a day before to book the driver (50 USD per pickup or drop from/to airport) 7. Based on strict Airbnb policy, No Refunds Possible - for last minute cancellations, less days stayed, less guests came with you, etc 8. Late check-in and Early checkout outside our work hours will be by yourself. We are not a hotel, and will not be able to be present if you arrive here or leave from here outside our posted work hours. We will make every attempt to help you have a smooth check-in or check-out outside our work hours 9. We don't have or need security during the day or night, our place is safe and we all live nearby.
