Peppertree Cottage is the oldest dwelling in the Nuy Valley. Built from mud bricks, poplar beams and thatch, and still has its old bakoond. This cottage has been lovingly refurbished honouring its historical significance to accommodate four people in two double bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms. It has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and sitting room. It is air-conditioned, has a wood burning stove, TV, wifi and sound system. With its own pool (uncovered) and wood fire hot tub in an enclosed garden that has magnificent views of the Naudesberg in the distance. This cottage is set slightly away from the other cottages so provides guests with a little more privacy. Just a few steps from the front door is the dam, which is perfect for some fishing as well as a swim or stand up paddle. This cottage is also situated at the start of the trails for those wishing to explore the mountain ranges behind the farm. There is plenty to keep all generations active and happy at Penhill with dams and pools for fishing, canoeing or simply splashing about in, chickens to collect eggs in the morning, the best tennis court in the Karoo, boules, croquet, not to mention trails for gentle walks, more strenuous hikes and several fantastic mountain bike trails leading directly from the farm. With its proximity to both Robertson and Worcester, as well as some great activities in the area guests will have plenty of options to stay close-by or venture out making for a fun filled stay. Our in-house chef, Frikkie Janse Van Rensburg, is available to handle all catering needs as well as hosting guests in newly refurbished Cellars restaurant.
