Oxfordshire Living - The Bowler Hat Cottage Stay like a local & experience Woodstock from this fantastic 18th Century cottage in the heart of the village. The 2 bedroom cottage is in the centre of the village making it the perfect location for those coming to visit Blenheim Palace, The Cotswolds, Oxford Airport, Weddings, Soho Farmhouse and the city of Oxford. The grounds of Blenheim Place are on your door step as well as a wealth of restaurants, cafes and shops. Soho Farmhouse is 15-min by car The space Many properties have had their original features removed or covered up. When renovating the property we decided to reinstate the features and add lots of extra touches. Cosy-up in from of a wood-burning stove. Take a soak in a roll top bath. Sleep well with our quality beds, soft bedding and quiet bedrooms featuring secondary acoustic glazing. On the ground floor guests will find the living room with wood burning stove, dining room with seating for 4, kitchen with modern appliances and utility room with washer/dryer. The cottages sleeps 4 people( this include children & infants). Both bedrooms are on the first floor. 1 king size bed: W 5ft, L 6ft 6in 1 standard double bed: W 4ft 6in, L 6ft 3in The shared family bathroom has a bath with a shower over head. The patio area at the back of the cottage is private and for guest use only. During the summer months the pretty flowers will bloom and it is the perfect spot to sip a glass of wine at the end of a summers day. Guest access Guests have access to the whole cottage. Once a booking is confirmed I will send you details relating to your check in. Other things to note Long Stay Cleaning Fee - Please note that stays longer than 3 weeks/21 Nights are required to pay a long term end of stay cleaning fee. An additional cleaning fee of £240 will be charged after the booking has been confirmed. We provide 1 stack of logs for guests use. Further logs are chargeable. In terms of parking, 300 years ago when the property was built the word 'car' hadn't been invented. However, there is a public car park less than 90 metres walk away as well as free street parking around the corner. Cottage is for four persons only, which including infants. No exceptions, this is for insurance purposes. We advise Infants should be 3 years old+, due to a 300 year old steep & twisty staircase which does NOT have a stair gate guard. Also can parents please note there is no fire guard around the log burner. We request furniture is not moved due to the age of the cottage. Absolutely no smoking or pets. We have tried to keep the cottage as allergy free as possible. Please be respectful of the neighbours.
