Description
Atypical room located in a fully restored old dovecote. It is located on the mezzanine (narrow staircase like in a sailboat). The private shower room and toilet are on the ground floor just below the bedroom. Directly connected, by a veranda, with the main rooms of the house, you will enjoy the shared common areas. The space With its unique garden under the wings of the mill, you will appreciate modern comfort in stone, brick and wood. You will enjoy the facilities, activities and festivities, without a car. A little history: the house has no age! It is a very old building, in place of the knights' quarter, under the chemin de ronde, when the castle dominated the surroundings. Moreover, the name of the street comes from the first order of knights of the medieval era, the Order of the Holy Spirit. In 2023, the entire house was renovated to lower its carbon footprint: pellet boiler to replace fuel oil, insulation of the attic, walls and floors. You have access to any space in the house and garden (except those marked "private"): kitchen, living room, dining room, entrance hall, outdoor spaces, two terraces and the garden including the canopy. The swimming pool and ponds of the Aquaval complex are a 20-minute walk away. Guest access To get to Lautrec: By road 70 km from Toulouse, 15 km from Castres, 32 km from Albi, 30 km from Gaillac, 60 km from Montauban. By bicycle and pedestrian routes: Droits de l'Homme path from Castres to Albi, or departmental and rural roads. By public transport: Toulouse - Castres by TER or bus 760, then Castres - Lautrec by bus 704 (except Sunday) During your stay Yohan lives in the house all year round, working in catering: available according to schedules, reachable by phone and email. Emmanuelle, her mother, biologist and sailor, lives between land and sea, a little in the stars, reachable by phone and email to inform and book workshops and table d'hôtes. Other things to note Emmanuelle (owner): I offer workshops that can be done during your stay in Lautrec, natural gardening, in our mini forest-garden, and low climate impact food inspired by my life and my sailboat trips. Breakfast is not included, but you can use the kitchen to prepare it with the products you have brought. We can also provide you with a continental breakfast for €5 per person. I also offer a table d'hôtes at €13 per meal per person.
