Description
A charming historic home, FLEXIBLE, 2 min walk from the Roman Bridge and the old town. The flour mill built in 1840 supplied the 13 bakeries of Nyons for more than a century. The Mill is composed of 3 stone buildings from the river, on a wooded plot of 2 hectares. 1 house (4 people) and 2 studios (4 people and 2 people): - The stream that fed the mill passes under LA MAISON DU MEUNIER. - Opposite, 2 independent studios: LA FARINIÈRE and LA FENIÈRE. The space Our MODULAR residence - which can accommodate up to 10 people including 2 children - is ideal for groups of families or friends who wish to stay one or more weeks in a friendly atmosphere in 3 perfectly equipped apartments that are both common and independent. 💡 Outside the high season, choose to occupy only one or two of the three apartments, while enjoying the entire estate exclusively, and get 20% discount per unoccupied apartment. LA MAISON DU MEUNIER includes kitchen, dining room, living room, shower room, bathroom, bedroom with a double bed and bedroom with two beds, on two floors overlooking the Roman Bridge, the Eygues and the old town. We also rent two studios in the building facing LA MAISON DU MEUNIER: LA FARINIÈRE and LA FENIÈRE, both equipped with a kitchenette and a bathroom: - LA FARINIÈRE for 2 adults + 2 children, - LA FENIÈRE for 2 adults with a large panoramic terrace and views of Nyons. All three homes are furnished in the old-fashioned way, with the furniture and utensils our family has used on site for five generations. My great-grandfather Marc Emile SOGNO lived there with his family, while operating the flour mill. My grandfather Octave SOGNO was born there and lived there for 90 years. My mother Jany SOGNO was born there and spent her childhood and youth there, and I myself spent many holidays there. And my parents have undertaken in recent years a long and heavy renovation of all the buildings. The Moulin also inspired one of my cousin Pierre SOGNO's novels entitled "Le Moulin de l'Eygues" (Éditions La Mirandole). The basement of the main building houses a popular museum of agricultural tools and flour mills, including several hundred objects that belonged to my ancestors, dating from the Middle Ages to nineteen forty-five. The wooded land under the Miller's house, along the D94 road that runs along the Eygues, includes a field of cherry trees and a field of fig trees. There are two terraces common to the three apartments, where the group can meet, plus a specific terrace of the LA FÉNIÈRE studio. Other things to note WiFi with high-speed fiber. Individual heating and air conditioning in each apartment. TV in two apartments.
