The Upper Lodge is a rustic and private hideaway with an Adirondack feel to it. It features a king-sized bed. This slightly smaller room is located on the second floor; part of the room has a slanted ceiling along the roof line. Enjoy your private little library, smart TV with cable, and wi-fi. You’ll love the stylish décor of this charming place to stay. Tucked away in the sweet spot where the Hudson Valley meets the beautiful Berkshire foothills, the Inn at Silver Maple Farm is one of the premiere bed and breakfasts in upper Columbia County in upstate New York. We offer eleven well-appointed guest rooms, each with its own private bathroom. Newly remodeled with a fresh Euro pastoral color palette and weathered patinas, our guests are transported to a rustic countryside retreat. Our spacious post and beam Inn creates an aura of timelessness as you enjoy all that a country get-away is meant to be. Fine dining, art, music, dance, wineries, and beautiful countryside strolls await you. Silver Maple Farm is located where the Hudson Valley meets the beautiful Berkshire foothills! Our grounds include acres of land to explore, a seasonal fire pit outside of the red barn, and a beautiful garden. Our namesake, the Silver Maple, is native to Upstate New York and prevalent in the forest surrounding our property. During frostier months, sit by the fire in our Great Room, borrow one of our hand-selected tomes to read, or play a game with friends at a French Patisserie table. Designed with our guests in mind, our Great Room offers several types of comfortable seating and is surrounded by windows overlooking our beautiful grounds. We are located in East Chatham, just a 5 mile drive from "downtown village" of Chatham. Hudson Valley recently wrote an article about what to do when you are visiting the area, and needless to say, there is a plethora of shops and restaurants to patronize during your stay. (*They also recommend staying with us!*) Looking for a full day or two of exploration? Drive 15 miles east to Lenox, Massachusetts and experience the cultural center of the Berkshires. From shopping to dining, art and music, historic homes and museums, exploring Lenox's offerings will keep you adventuring throughout the duration of your visit! There is no shortage of wineries, distilleries and breweries in the area, each offering a unique perspective on the Hudson Valley scene. Ask us for recommendations or visit the closest: the Hudson Chatham Winery in Ghent, SABBA Vineyard in Old Chatham, or Chatham Brewing in Chatham. Free parking on premises A complimentary continental breakfast of fresh, local baked goods, fruit, and coffee is served daily from 8am-9:30am in the Great Room. You can also opt for our daily hot breakfast which varies from quiches to pancakes, depending on the availability of local ingredients and our Innkeeper's whims.
