The space The Gourmet Guesthouse is perfect for guests who plan on staying for several weeks or months. Our elegant home is tastefully decorated with art and comfortable, luxurious furnishings. Access to the home is from a private off street parking area into a Pergola (covered front deck) with outdoor seating and a garden. The upscale kitchen is fully equipped for gourmet cooking. It includes a 5 burner commercial gas range, Convection/Gas oven and Convection/microwave oven, InstaPot, Air Fryer and Rice Cooker. Guests love the upscale dishes, wine glasses and amenities. The Master Bedroom has a queen size bed (very comfortable) and an Asian theme in art and furnishing. We have noise and light reducing window treatments for guests who need quiet sleeping space during the day. You will will love the spa-style bathroom. with glass shower doors and two shower heads. The lounge area has a conversation sofa , for cocktails and snacks. The curved sofa is leather and has a matching ottoman. The lounge has a TV with Netflix and Hulu. area. The whole house has super fast wi-fi. The office is accessed from the front entry. It has a workstation, a flatbed printer, ergonomic office chair, and a comfy sofa. The large sofa is a comfortable sleeping space for one guest. The officeI is quiet and separate from the bedrooms. It has a retractable curtain for privacy and a small area for hanging clothes. The laundry room leads to the outdoor kitchen and backyard seating are. The backyard is accessible through a separate entrance.. The laundry room has full size washer and dryer and detergent is furnished. The outdoor kitchen has a sink, grill and outdoor dining area. You can also access the fire pit and dog play are and view of our old cypress barn. The location provides easy access, privacy and comfort at an affordable price. We are less than 7 minutes to downtown and to both Interstate 10 and Interstate 49. Location is in an area that has some noise from the street during morning drive time and a train track a mile away. Guests report that noise is not an issue and that they enjoy peace and quiet. Actually, the big back yard with outdoor seating and view of an old barnfeels like a country setting near the city. Smoking is allowed on the front porch or in the rear seating area and fire pit. We are well equipped to accommodate guests with a dog. There is a $50 pet fee for a dog. Dogs are not allowed on the beds. If you bring your dog, you will need to bring a coverings for the 2 sofas. Your dog will need to be in a kennel when you are out.
