Welcome to the ‘Mountain Sun Retreat Family Home w/Hot Tub”. This beautiful Woodland Park home has something for everyone and plenty of room to enjoy it. Both the front and back yard are big, treed and peaceful! Whether inside or out, there are plenty of amenities, including a hot tub, finished multi- level deck, gas grill, outdoor dining area, separate outdoor entertainment area, hammock, a living room and family room, ping pong table, 3 TV’s and even a designated home office and desk. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the breeze is blowing. You see a gorgeous view of Pikes Peak as you stroll down the Centennial Bike and Walking Path just at the end of the street as you stroll into Downtown Woodland Park to enjoy your morning latte at one of the cozy coffee houses. Or maybe, you decided to stop at Lovell Gulch Trail on your way into town and take a hike to enjoy the beautiful trees, mountains and surroundings! In the afternoon, you can be ‘all in’ for a nap in the hammock and then pop in the hot tub for a quick soak before you grill outside on the deck. Whichever way you like to enjoy your day, this home is the right place to do it! This mountain home is a 2 floor, split level home that offers 2 inviting and open family rooms, spacious bedrooms and amenities on both levels. The Main floor has a big Master bedroom with a private bathroom that has been recently renovated with an all new walk-in tile shower, vanity, toilet, and light fixtures. This is the kind of room you can really spread out and relax with a King size bed, 3 closets, a sitting area and a TV. You will love the bright windows. Next to the Master bedroom on the upper floor is another bedroom with a queen size bed, plenty of closet space and serene décor. You will enjoy opening the window and soaking up a little bit of fresh mountain air. And, just across the hallway, you will find another recently updated full bathroom with a new tile shower and soaking tub combo that gives you plenty of room for your early morning shower and prep for the day or a great space for an evening bubble bath to reminisce on the days adventures. Also on this floor is a substantially sized living room that is open to the dining area and kitchen. These rooms are all perfectly situated for gathering, entertaining and relaxing. The Living room has plenty of cozy seating that allows you to snuggle up and enjoy the views from the beautiful picture window with an added bonus of an electric wall fireplace. Then, you can mosey into the dining area for a meal with your family as you continue to be surrounded by windows to the beautiful Colorado outdoors. The kitchen leaves no stone unturned as it is fully outfitted with dishes, pots/pans, toaster oven an Instapot and even your choice of a Keurig or drip coffee maker. If you are a teetotaler, then we have you covered as well with an electric tea kettle and tea pot. We even have BBQ utensils for your next cookout on the deck! Speaking of the deck, there is an exit directly from the kitchen to the dual level deck and fenced back yard. You will love this setting! The top deck has a gas grill, comfortable seating area and a double wide staircase to the lower level deck and backyard. On the lower level deck you will find a complete outdoor dining area and hot tub. Step off the lower level into the peaceful, fenced backyard that feels like a sanctuary for Ponderosa Pines. You can use this yard for games, a nap in the hammock or take a stroll to the firepit area for some great evening conversation. (Please note fire regulations). Back inside, you will find the lower level also has loads of windows throughout to keep you wrapped in that beautiful Colorado Mountain Sun. The lower level family room is one of those rooms that just entices you to come inside and curl up on the oversized sofa while you watch a movie on the wall mounted flat screen TV. There is even an electric flame space heater to add a little ambiance. This room is so large you have a game room as well with a ping pong table for an evening tournament and plenty of other activities such as board games, cards and even a giant Jenga set! Just past the family room, you will find a designated office space with a jumbo sized desk so you can spread out your next grand plan! This area gives you what you need to think and work…as long as you don’t work too much while you are on vacation! Next, you will find a ¾ bathroom which can serve the two bedrooms on this level from the main hallway door. In the bedroom to the left, you also have a private bathroom access door. This bedroom has 2 big windows, a walk-in closet, and 2 super fun, plush twin beds along with its own TV for ‘movie night in bed! Across the hallway, you will find another bedroom with a Queen bed, closet space and a warm décor scheme with a little whimsey. This floor is also where you find convenient garage access and the laundry room with a full size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board and select cleaning tools. This home is only a few minutes from downtown Woodland Park, a 5 minute drive to National Forest and multiple hiking trails, 20 minutes to Manitou Springs, and 25 minutes to Colorado Springs. If you are going in and out of Denver, you are only 90 minutes away and the same distance to Breckenridge. Come and enjoy restaurants, breweries, the Dinosaur Museum, and the beautiful Pikes Peak views. You will fall in love with The Mountain Sun Property and all it has to offer! To keep it in optimal condition, we have a professional hot tub technician visit our property once a week. This maintenance visit, usually lasting about an hour, ensures that the hot tub is kept clean, functional, and ready for your enjoyment throughout your stay. Rest assured, these visits are designed to be non-intrusive. The technician only needs access to the outdoor area and will not disturb your indoor privacy. We schedule these sessions to ensure minimal disruption to your relaxation and aim to provide you with a seamless, top-notch experience. Guests will have access to the entire home. There is some storage items in the garage that we ask to not move or operate. There may be an RV parked on the side of the home that is not part of the rental. Parking Guests can park up to 4 cars in the driveway. The garage can have a compact car inside due to some storage. There is NO street parking in this neighborhood. Please let us know if you need space for your RV or trailer! You can also park it on the side of the home. Early Check-in Requests We cannot guarantee an early check-in before 4pm as we need time to make sure this property is perfect for you before your stay! NO Dog Policy This property maintains a no-pet policy for the comfort and convenience of all our guests. Type of Cooling for the Home Central AC units are best kept at 68 degrees or above. Due to the lack of humidity in the area if the thermostat is lowered below 68 degrees it is possible that it can freeze the unit if it is working too hard. Unfortunately, it will take 24 hours for the unit to defrost before an HVAC specialist can service it. Our evenings are generally cool in the summertime, simply opening the windows will provide extra natural coolness. Reminders About the Property -Please review the sleeping arrangements prior to booking. -Please keep all trash secure in the bins. Do not leave any trash out overnight for your safety and the surrounding active wildlife in the city's area. -We do not have onsite maintenance or cleaning unlike hotels but all requests will be taken care of ASAP.
