Located between Durango and Silverton and just one mile from Purgatory Resort, the lodge is surrounded by the Hermosa Cliffs, Twilight Peaks, and the San Juan National Forest. Guest access You’ll have 24/7 private access to all lodging areas and amenities. We only host one group at a time, so there’s no sharing the hot tub with strangers or competing for coffee at sunrise. This space is all yours. While your experience is private, we do have staff on-site at various times throughout your stay to maintain the property and assist with any needs. The lodge is a large, 11,000 sq ft building that requires ongoing care (snow removal, cleaning, maintenance, etc.) but our team works discreetly out of back-of-house areas like offices, laundry, and staff apartments. You likely won’t see anyone unless you request support, though we’re always nearby if you need us. All guests have access to our fully equipped community kitchen and spacious Columbine room for cooking and group meals. Please note that the wedding/event dining room is not pictured and will remain locked unless previously arranged (additional fees apply). We occasionally offer scheduled walkthroughs for future guests during the day. These will always be coordinated with you in advance and led by a staff member to ensure minimal disruption.
