If you're looking to hit the trails, you can leave the car behind; the extensive network of Linley Valley is just a 5-minute walk from your front door. -- A Kitchen Built for Real Cooking -- Channel your inner chef in our fully-equipped kitchen. Whether you’re grilling on the private BBQ, whipping up a smoothie, or letting the slow-cooker do the heavy lifting while you’re out exploring, we’ve got you covered. Plus, a full-size dishwasher means clean-up is never a chore. -- Rest & Entertainment -- After a day of coastal adventures, kick back in the recliner or stretch out on the couch. Movie night is waiting for you—just log into your favorite streaming services on the 50" Smart TV. If you prefer something more old-school, we’ve tucked away card games and cribbage for a classic cabin-style evening. -- A Great Night's Sleep -- The primary bedroom features a gorgeously comfy queen bed. For extra guests, the large sofa bed in the living room is perfect for kids or a second couple. Traveling with a little one? We have a Pack 'n Play ready to go. -- The "Tall Guest" Approved Bathroom -- Tall travelers, rejoice! We’ve installed the shower head extra high so you can rinse off without the "neck-crick" struggle. If you prefer a slow soak, the full-size bathtub is the perfect place to end your day. -- The Hot Tub Soak -- The crown jewel of the suite is the luxurious hot tub, tucked under a gazebo so you can enjoy a soak whether it’s raining, snowing, or shining. To ensure everyone has their own "quiet time," we coordinate hot tub use on a semi-hourly basis. Just give us a few hours' heads-up before you go for a soak. This allows us to close our kitchen blinds so you can relax in total peace. We love our guests, but we know you value your privacy as much as we do! Note: While the tub is covered, the backyard is visible to our friendly neighbours behind us. We are so excited to share our slice of Nanaimo with you. The side patio is a great place to enjoy the morning sun and sip your cup of joe. In the evening, you'll enjoy the shady coolness on that same patio as you grill something tasty on the BBQ. -- Backyard -- The stairs along the exterior of the house lead up to our private backyard. Please ask us if you want your pup to be able to do his business in the backyard. Always make sure that you close the black metal gate into the backyard. Our little dog, Ryder, is often out in the backyard and we don't want him to escape. -- Hot Tub -- The hot tub is shared with us and is in the back yard. It must be booked at least 24 hours ahead of time (30 minute time slots). Please note it is in front of our kitchen window, but we are happy to pull down the blinds on the windows so you can have some quiet time. Hot tub is open from 9 am to 9 pm. Some of the neighbouring houses look down onto the backyard and hot tub area. -- Parking -- Guests can park on the gravel parking pad next to the road, or on the street. Please don't park in the driveway. Other things to note Pet-Friendly Home We welcome pets and clean thoroughly between stays. However, guests with severe pet allergies should be aware that this is a pet-friendly property. Regulatory Compliance This suite is a legal secondary suite within our primary residence and operates under a valid City of Nanaimo business license. It is compliant with current provincial short-term rental legislation. Exterior Security Camera A video-only security camera is installed beside the suite entrance and monitors the exterior entry area. There are no cameras inside the suite and no audio recording. The device is active for safety and liability purposes. Tampering with the camera may result in cancellation of the reservation.
