CASA CARAN - 8p - 75m from the beach - swimming pool

Just an hour's drive from the airport, you will find this large beautiful villa in the middle of nature in Nianing. Located 75m from the beach, you can luxuriously enjoy a palm paradise in authentic Senegal. Casa Caran is self-sufficient (solar panels, batteries & emergency generator). For acceptance of the reservation, you will be provided with an agreement, which you must accept. (Important note at the bottom of the text regarding electricity.) Ground floor: - 1 bedroom with king size bed, safe, mosquito net and adjoining bathroom (2 sinks and double shower), toilet & terrace, hairdryer - Fully equipped kitchen & dining area with table for 10 people - living room with large smart TV and Canal+ - Covered terrace with dining table for 10 people and seating area - sun terrace with sun loungers, large mattresses and hammock - 12m x 8m swimming pool with bar stools in the water and in-pool lounge with sunbed and mosquito net 1st floor: - 3 bedrooms with king size bed, safe, mosquito net and private bathroom (2 sinks and shower), toilet & terrace. The master bedroom has a bath by the window and a hairdryer. - terrace with sunbed and lounger Roof terrace: - sitting area with mosquito net - massage room - sunbed & sun loungers - sun deck & shower - breathtaking view Casa Caran is equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with doors. All sliding windows/doors have mosquito screens. Available in the villa: - dishwasher, washing machine, drying cabinet - Ironing board and iron - folder with info (restaurants, excursions, useful phone numbers...) - Bluetooth speakers - free Wi-Fi - 7d/7 and 24h/24 security guard (with the necessary privacy) - Gas BBQ (use only by Amy) Guest access You have access to the entire house. We only like to keep the garage private. This is where we keep some personal belongings. The garage also serves as a storage space, and the batteries for the solar panels are also installed here. Other things to note Amy, the friendly housekeeper, keeps the house clean. If desired, she can also wash, cook and shop for you. She is REQUIRED to be present from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (except Sundays and public holidays). She charges €7.5 per day for this (to be paid to her on the spot). On Sundays, she has her weekly day of rest. If lunch and/or dinner needs to be prepared, a second housekeeper is also required (€7.50 extra per night). However, if a maximum of 2 bedrooms are used, the second housekeeper is not necessary. On request, work can sometimes also be done on Sundays/public holidays. Please note that the housekeeper will then charge double rate. Tairou can provide transportation to and from the airport. He charges €90 (per car) for this and can also take care of your tourist excursions. Fancy fresh fish, scampi or squid? A local fisherman can take care of it. Cameras are mounted on the walls of the fence. Both Amy and your driver Tairou, who also maintains the garden and pool, are very discreet. Please do not wear shoes in the villa. Casa Caran offers flexible hours for check-out. Small pets and children are allowed provided they are well behaved and under your supervision. The damage caused is always compensated, but it is annoying for the next tenants if the repairs take a few days. Keep in mind that during the rainy season (July-September) it is humid and warm and that there are more insects. Important note regarding electricity: Casa Caran is built in a paradise without electricity network and is therefore self-sufficient. The villa is equipped with solar panels with batteries, but these batteries are not inexhaustible. Water and electricity are included in the price. So you don't have to take these costs into account, which can otherwise be serious. Only the possible use of the generator needs to be paid (3.4€/hour). So be economical with the electricity: - A maximum of 4 air conditioners can be used simultaneously, otherwise you will not have electricity after a while anyway (not even with the generator). - Be economical with the air conditioning. Try to cool the rooms for a few hours, but do not leave the air conditioners on unnecessarily all night/day. - Use the fans as much as possible instead of the air conditioner. The fans consume almost no electricity. - Use dishwasher and washing machine only during the day when the sun is shining. At higher consumption, the batteries will run out and the generator will start up. The large sliding windows provide sufficient cooling at night, so you don't need the air conditioning, outside the rainy season... and without air conditioning, you normally don't need the generator. In the rainy season, you will probably need the air conditioning more often. Also during this period, you can use the air conditioner quite limitedly (by programming it) in combination with the fan, without the generator coming into operation. It is forbidden to have the generator stopped by the staff. An advance of 23 euros per night is always requested for the possible use of the generator. If you like to use air conditioning continuously day and night in multiple rooms, without actually needing it, then this villa may not be your ideal choice. If you only use the air conditioning when it is necessary, then do not hesitate… a dream vacation in a beautiful paradise awaits you!
