Welcome to your own, private 3 bedroom 2 bathroom riverfront home! Not only do you have river access, you are just a short walk to downtown Portage restaurants, bars, shops and more! The space The House on Edgewater is located on the historic Wisconsin River. Guests can look forward to enjoying the peaceful river on one of two exterior decks or in the hammock, and may even spot the neighborhood bald eagle! The backyard has steps down to the river* for direct access - perfect for kayaking or fishing. We This adorable three-bedroom, cape-cod style home was built in 1930. Most of the home's woodwork is original, including the doors and door handles. The home has also settled through the years, and developed a charming slope! The House on Edgewater is also centrally located to many local attractions and various outdoor activities: Less than 20 miles from the Wisconsin Dells 21 miles to Devils Lake 5 miles to Cascade Mountain 15 miles to Devils Head Resort 40 minutes from Madison, WI Minutes from multiple hiking and biking trails 20 minutes away from Amish Country Multiple golf courses located within a 30-minute drive (including two under 12 minutes) 20 minutes to HoChunk Casino Near various wineries, distilleries and classic Wisconsin Supper Clubs Located in a beautiful, safe neighborhood with historic homes Bedrooms: The master bedroom has a cozy King Size Bed and wingback chair that looks out to the river and is the perfect place for reading a good book. The second upstairs room is great for kids, with two twin beds and a desk. The space could also be used as an office for productive teleworking or just answering a quick email. The third bedroom is located on the main floor and has a Queen Size Bed with a dreamy canopy bed with fairy lights. All mattresses are memory foam and have a down-alternative comforter. Bathrooms: The main floor has a full bath with a shower and tub combo, vanity and extra storage. A half bath is located at the top of the stairs. Parking: Parking is free. As a courtesy to our neighbors, all guests are asked to park either in the garage or driveway. *We do not recommend swimming in the river as the current is strong and can be very unsafe. There are great swimming spots just a short drive away though, like Silver or Devils Lake. Guest access Guest access will be through a keyless smart lock touchpad.
