Beautiful countryside home with pool + views

Beautiful home in the rolling countryside of Aude, Southern France. Located near the village of Fanjeaux, with stunning views of the Pyrenees. L'Obit Ouest is a 4 bedroom converted barn, with many original features. The house is decorated with a neutral, sophisticated feel. - Spacious open plan kitchen, living room and dining area - 4 ensuite king size bedrooms - 10x4m walled swimming pool (seasonal) - Large fenced garden - Large South facing terrace for dining The space The star feature of the house is the sociable open plan kitchen, living, dining room, equipped for large groups. Dining table seats up to 12 guests. The living area looks out over the terrace and beautiful Southerly views of the Pyrenees, with large sliding doors to maximise light and the views. Bedrooms There are four bedrooms with king size beds, all en-suite located on the first floor - the same level as the open plan living area. They are equipped with wardrobes, bedside tables, and chest of drawers. The en-suites all have a shower/bath, sink, toilet and electric towel rail. One of the en-suites has a bath, with a jack and jill door on to the main hallway. - two travel cots can be made available on request - two camp beds can also be made available for children on request All sheets, bedding, and duvets are White Company 400-800 thread count Bath towels and hand towels are provided for all guests, as well as separate pool towels. All bedrooms have classic French wooden shutters for the windows, as well as linen curtains. Outdoor space There is a spacious South-West facing terrace where guests are likely to spend the majority of their time, given the splendid views of the countryside, Pyrenees and sunsets. The terrace is equipped with an outdoor sofa, dining table for 12 guests, parasol, and BBQ. There is a large 10x4m swimming pool, with pretty olive trees providing some dappled shade. The pool is walled with a secure gate. There are 10 sun-loungers surrounding the pool, and pool towels are provided. The chlorine pool is maintained twice a week by our lovely pool man, and is available for use seasonally (usually from June to September.) The house benefits from a large garden over 4000m. The garden to the front of the terrace features a lawn and beautifully landscaped planting. The rest of the garden sits to the side of our barn area, and features a large lawn perfect for games and playing, as well as a number of trees providing much needed shade during the hot summer months. The garden features a fabulous covered barn area, with outdoor shaded dining space and an outdoor kitchen. There is also a table tennis table for guests to enjoy in the barn. Guest access You will have sole access to the whole house, gardens and pool during your stay. Guests will not have access to the storage/garage areas underneath the property. Other things to note The garden is fenced. We have one neighbouring property, however the houses have an entirely separate feel as the neighbours house, gardens and pool face a different way from L’Obit Ouest. Our house, garden and pool remains secluded and are not overlooked by any neighbours. The property is accessed via a long tarmac track. Parking is on a grassed area at the end of the barn.
