Casa Ratafia, the Occitan taste!

Deep in the French south, nestled between vineyards and castles, near the Lot and Dordogne, you will enjoy romantically. Casa Ratafia is a spacious chalet, built by Finnish builders and is located against the slope of the park, with wide views over the park and the green surroundings. This park is focused on families who want to experience their vacation in peace with fine custom-made amenities: pool, playground with trampoline, a tennis court, bistro,... In total there are 58 homes. The space Casa Ratafia is a 4 person chalet with a living area of almost 65 sqm. There are two "extra spacious bedrooms. One queen size bed 160 cm x 200 cm in the one bedroom, two single beds (90 cm x 200 cm) in the other bedroom. Upon arrival, you will find the beds (separate mattresses, 4 duvets of 140 x 200). Is there a baby as a guest ? Then we - if desired - provide a baby cot, bath and high chair free of charge. Due to the typical Finnish wood construction, the sleeping and living areas are bright and airy. You will see the beams up to the ridge of the roof ! Even at daytime temperatures of + 40°C you will have a blissful night's sleep here without air conditioning. The natural materials and the location of the bedrooms on the north side of the chalet against the forest behind us contribute to this. The spacious bathroom was renovated and now features a spacious walk-in shower, a washbasin and a storage cabinet. A hair dryer is standard. Separate next to the bathroom there is a toilet room with hand washers. Living room has a cozy dining area and an inviting lounge/TV space. There are books and games available. The living space is experienced as larger because the huge balcony terrace is immediately accessible from the house. The kitchen that connects directly to the living area has all the contemporary comforts such as dishwasher, spacious refrigerator with freezer compartment, a ceramic hob, a multifunctional oven (microwave, grill, hot air). Even a discerning hobby cook will be here, and you will find all the necessary cooking utensils to conjure up delicious meals on the table. A kitchen package with plenty of dishwasher tabs, kitchen towels, sponge,... is provided upon arrival. And then comes the most important asset of Casa Ratafia : 2 very spacious terraces ensure that you can find the sun or wonderful shade from morning until evening to your liking. The large front balcony terrace connects to the living area and is equipped with a seating area and a dining area. Even a rain outing in the off-season is not a breaker, as this terrace is fully covered. Enjoy stunning expansive views !! The other terrace is at the entrance door and will welcome you especially in the morning for breakfast in the sunshine ! On very hot days you will enjoy shade here after noon. This terrace can be fully locked with a separate sturdy fence so that small children can safely play outside. The ground of both terraces are wooden shelves, for example you can put a small children's pool here. The fence is definitely high enough everywhere to ensure safety. Finally, there is a storage room next to the front door, where we have installed a washing machine. That's more practical than having to use the laundry at the park! A vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies are provided. In our home, there is good reception in terms of mobile phones, and there is WI-FI (free of charge). The TV is equipped with a G**gle Chromecast so you can watch TV as you wish. You can also fully enjoy your Netflix or sports subscription on vacation, and your favorite channels,.. If you arrive from the Netherlands or Belgium after a long drive by car, it is nice to find an evening meal and some drinks in the fridge. We are happy to provide this with a choice list that we will send you when booking. Do you have any questions ? Call us, email us,... we are available for you! Guest access Usually you will arrive at the park in the late afternoon. Your stay is ready from 4pm. Are you there earlier ? Then you can go to the pool and/or in the restaurant in advance. The car can be parked at the property. We will discuss with you whether we ourselves will be present during your arrival, or if you prefer to use the key safe. In any case, we will be in contact upon arrival so that we can be sure that you will find everything as desired. You will have access to the house until 11 a.m. on the last day of your stay. We'll come to you and settle the deposit right away. Other things to note Village du soleil is a cozy family park where families are on vacation . The park rules regulate the good relationship between the guests staying there. It is then about respecting rules around silence, interacting with your dog in the park, using the swimming pool and playgrounds. As a guest, you must follow these rules. In the peak season, animation is provided for the children and young people. The program can be found on the information board. The public in the park is mixed in terms of nationalities. Since the park was originally in Dutch hands and there is still quite a Dutch-speaking occupancy, the French language should not immediately be a major problem. The operation of the bar and restaurant is also in Dutch if you wish. In the village of Mauroux (1.7 km) is a superette and a restaurant. A few miles further you will find a large shopping center with, among other things, a large Leclerc supermarket. In Prayssac (18km), the weekly market on Friday morning is recommended. On the Tourist information in Puy l'évêque you will find all possible information to plan trips and pick out the events nearby. Of course, you will also find a lot of information via the app of the tourist services of the department of the Lot department. There is plenty to do, too much to list here.
