Nestled in front of a secluded ridge where eagles soar and deer roam, our view looks out over our horse ranch and magnificent view of the valley. The sunsets are breathtaking. It is a rock climbers and hiker's paradise, just minutes from both Snow Canyon State Park (which rivals Zion in its beauty, but without the crowds), and beautiful Pine Valley. Yet we are still just 15 minutes from historic St. George with its restaurants, shopping, theaters, museums, and Indian petroglyphs. It is a perfect place to stay for popular seasonal events--St. George marathon (we are right near the course--great location for spectators and participants) St. George Iron Man, Huntsman Senior Games (hop in the hot tub in between events), Dixie Roundup Rodeo (perfect place for you and your horses to rest and recharge between events), Men's Superbowl Softball Tournament. There are numerous beautiful golf courses, --( a favorite nest for snowbirds). Bring your horses and you will find the most beautiful riding in Utah! An easy drive to Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, and Brian's Head ski resort, and just 2 hours from Las Vegas (if things become a bit TOO quiet for you!) You will love our hot tub under the stars, fabulous stone/wood burning fireplace, large cabin-style great room and fully equipped kitchen, with high wood beam ceilings and hardwood floors. The master suite has a beautiful stone gas fireplace.There is a large dining table plus bar w/ stools, 3 large comfortable couches, chairs looking out view windows, Wifi, TV/DVR/stereo, and 3 bedrooms. The 4th bedroom is a casita /guest suiteover the garage, with mini kitchen, full bath, TV/DVR, 2 queens (one is a sofa bed), bunks, plus ample additional sleeping pads which can be used in any of the rooms, 2 cots, 2 pack n play cribs, bedding/towels, cupboards full of family games, tons of toys and puzzles for the kids, and upstairs and front patios with views. There is another patio area near the horses with a bench swing and chairs, and fire pit, the perfect spot for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the sky full of stars. We have a hammock which sets up under the eves on the front porch, and is also perfect for star-gazing and late afternoon naps. Our newest addition: a children's play area with swings, slide, climbing wall, playhouse, jungle gym, sandbox and toys. It is situated next to the patio so you can relax, watch the sunset, enjoy the view, and be near the littles playing. Temperatures in Dammeron Valley are 10-12 degrees cooler than St. George, with an evening breeze and killer sunsets to make the summer nights perfection, and we get the perfect amount of snow occasionally in the winter, just enough to enjoy but not enough to have to shovel. There is a park down the street with swings, climbing equipment, picnic area, large grass field and backstop for family games, w/ 2 horseshoe pits. (There will be pickleball courts going in in the near future!!) We have horses (that may or may not be on the property during your stay), chickens (fresh eggs for your breakfast), and 2 friendly goats. There's a great facility we recommend in town for your dog that has a huge interactive play area and very reasonable rates. Guest access We have cots, a hammock and extra sleeping pads and bedding should you have extra guests, towels, washer, dryer, basic kitchen appliances, (coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc) dishes, cooking basics, large dining table, fireplace and firewood, outside gas BBQ, fire pit, hot tub, horse shoes, ping pong table in the garage. We do have RV hookups for a SMALL trailer for an additional fee to cover extra utilities used, if you make prior arrangements. If you want to bring your own horses, we have space to accommodate them if you make prior arrangements with us, and if horses have all vaccines current. Other things to note We will leave a notebook of instructions for the house and property and suggestions and brochures about activities, restaurants, attractions, etc. in the area.
