You get the best of rustic original wood floors combined with the comfort of updated bathrooms and kitchen. As a bear-themed cabin, you will find lovely hand-picked bear decor and art. Each bedroom has a comfortable foam mattress and are a guest favorite! A great night's sleep is very important for us! Outdoor entertaining - Relax under the stars in our luxurious J-245 Jacuzzi hot tub which is spacious enough to comfortably fit up to 7 guests. The hot tub boosts jets that provide a powerful massage, including four rotational jets and a jetted foot dome. The Jacuzzi hot tub includes a back and shoulder waterfall, LED lighting and an open-seating arrangement to ensure rest and relaxation for all. The deck patio boosts plenty to entertain with featuring a gas Weber grill and wrought iron chairs, 2-person rocker and tables perfect for enjoying delicious outdoor meals. Enjoy your choice of using the toasty outdoor gas fire pit or wood burning fire pit while roasting marshmallows for s'mores, story telling or conversations to catch up with friends and family. After the sun goes down, experience the deck under the glow of vibrant string lights. Kitchen and Dining Room - The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Large dining table seats 6-8 guests. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs with amenities including a slow cooker, electric hot water kettle, toaster, blender, Instant Pot, spices, plenty of serving dishes, utensils, drip coffee maker, and Keurig machine. Laundry room - The laundry room contains a front loading washer and dryer. We provide liquid detergent and fabric softener for your needs. There is a large counter top to fold clothes. Living Room - Well-lit central area and Buffalo rug, perfect for congregating for games or falling asleep watching a movie. Large leather sofa, love seat and 65" flat screen TV with Android TV. Bear decor and art decorate the space. Primary Bedroom - Crazy twig queen bed with foam mattress, side night stands, bear lamps, and charging cubes. This room contains Roku TV with controller. Tower fan provided. The closet contains hangers, small dresser and laundry basket. Our kid friendly amenities are also located in the closet in this bedroom. Second Primary Bedroom - Log queen bed with foam mattress, side night stands, lamps, and charging cubes. This room contains Roku TV with controller. Tower fan provided. Loft Bedroom - Spacious attic room with high sloping ceilings. Queen and full-sized beds with foam mattresses. Side tables feature a lamp and charging cube. Tower fan provided. Beautiful live-edge desk with swivel desk chair that overlooks the backyard and enables guests to work from home. Kid Friendly Amenities - Traveling with babies or kids can be a little hectic. We provide a pack-n-play, high chair, baby gate and safety wall plugs in the event that your little one will be traveling with you. We also provide kid's plastic plates, bowls, cups and utensils in the kitchen. One less thing to bring and one less thing to worry about. Wifi - The cabin has Wifi and a network that is connected to Comcast high speed internet. Heating and Cooling - AC and heat controlled by a Honeywell thermostat. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property. Other things to note House Policy Rental Rules: All Guests agree to abide by the House Rules described below. All individuals who visit the property during the rental period are the responsibility of the Primary Renter/Responsible Party and must also abide by the Rental Rules at all times. Check-in procedure: A passcode to the door lock will be provided before check-in. Enter through the main door on the deck. Enter passcode and pad with home icon will flash a blue check mark. Handle can be turned to enter. Damage: Guests shall notify Hosts of any damage that occurs within 24 hours of the incident. If the premises or furnishings appear dirty or damaged upon Check-in, Guests shall inform the Hosts immediately so that we can take care of it for you. Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 8 persons. Term of Rental: The rental period begins at 3:00 pm on the check-in date and ends at 11 am on the day of check-out. Access: Guests shall allow Hosts access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Hosts shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner. There is a strict no smoking policy at our property. If there is evidence of smoking in or around the home you may be charged an additional $250 fee plus costs of cleaning/remediation. Pets are allowed under host prior approval. As dog lovers, we love to bring our dogs on trips with us so we can understand wanting to have your furry family member(s) with you. The pet fee is $60 per pet per stay (for example, 2 dogs for a 3 night stay would be $120). Please provide age and breed of dog that will be staying with you. We will accept up to 4 pets. Dogs will need to be crated when owners are not in the cabin and away. Age 21 or older to book: The guest booking the property must be 21 years of age or older. The guest who books must stay at the property-you may not book for others if you do not intend to stay at the property. No events (e.g., weddings, receptions, proms, etc) may be held without explicit permission from the Hosts. Violation of this rule will result in immediate cancellation of the reservation and eviction from the property without a refund. Individuals other than those listed above in the Rental Party may not stay overnight in the property. Guests are not allowed to exceed the occupancy limit agreed to above. Guests should not create excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors. Our property's quiet hours of 10 pm to 6 am are required by Jefferson County ordinance and enforced by local police. If the police respond to a noise complaint, every guest on the property may be subject to a fine by the county up to $300. Failure to abide by the county noise ordinance will result in the immediate termination of the stay without refund. Harpers Ferry Shannondale is a residential neighborhood with many full-time residents who’s dogs bark at times. Please be respectful of our neighbors while you enjoy your stay. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Only use appliances and furniture for their intended uses. Hanging loveseat weight capacity/recommendation is 400 pounds and hanging hammock chair is 330 pounds. Guests assume all risks for use of all furnishings and appliances. Parking: Please park in front of the cabin. Avoid parking on the grass. The parking is on a slope, please take precaution when parking. Inclement weather: During the winter, four wheel drive vehicles are recommended in the event of a snow storm. Guests should use their own judgement as to whether to cancel a trip before it begins or leave the house early. Water and Septic: The cabin operates on a well. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products or other items have been flushed and clog the septic system, you may be held responsible for the costs of repairs. Electronics: Guests are not permitted to alter the wiring of any electronic equipment including the security cameras. Security cameras and internet manipulation is to be un-obstructed while occupying the cabin. Violation results in contacting the short term rental platform and a non-refundable cancellation. Security cameras: Security cameras are only used for security purposes and are faced at the front and back doors. We are in alignment with Airbnb policy. Welcome to Wild and Wonderful West Virginia! Ladybugs, stinkbugs, bears, deer, turkeys, bees, frogs, moths, ticks, spiders, bats, snakes, etc. may be encountered especially during spring, summer, and early fall. While our housekeepers and our pest control service work hard to keep things very clean and tidy, the reality is that we located on a mountain in WV - so you may encounter some wildlife! Wood stove and fireplace: The wood stove may be used upon request. We provide wood for you, please use as much as you need :). The inside gas fireplace is temporarily inoperable, however, the outside gas fire place and wood burning fire place is available and operable, perfect for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. No illegal substances or drugs permitted. No underage drinking or other illegal activities are allowed on the property. No fireworks are permitted to be used on the property. Televisions: Android TV in main living room and ROKU TVs in bedrooms on first floor. Please log out of your personal accounts before check-out. What we supply: Linens, blankets, extra blankets and pillows (in closets), towels, q-tips, air freshener in bathrooms, starter kit (toilet paper, trash bags, keurig cups, coffee, detergent, fabric softener, dish packs, disposable make-up remover towels). When starter kit runs out, please provide own toilet paper, trash bags, keurig cups, coffee, detergent, fabric softener, dish packs, and make-up remover towels. Garbage: Dispose of garbage in garbage can in kitchen. Although we don’t require guests to strip the beds, take out the trash or wash dishes before their departure, if the cleaning requires our cleaner more than 3 hours to clean, an extra fee may be applied. Check-out Procedure: Check-out is at 11am. Please remember to log out of personal accounts on TVs. Hot Tub Policy By booking, guests acknowledge that upon entering the hot tub area, they will continuously thereafter, thoroughly inspect such area. Continued presence constitutes an acknowledgment that the guests have inspected this area and find and accept such areas as being safe and reasonably suited for the purposes of the Activity. Guest agrees and warrant that if, at any time, they feel or think anything to be unsafe, all guests will immediately leave the area and advise the host. Guest acknowledges voluntarily participating in the hot tub and guests are participating entirely at my own risk. Guests are aware of the associated hot tub risks which may include but are not limited to drowning, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, skin/ear/bladder/lung or other infections, chemical burns or irritations, physical/psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, disability, economic or emotional loss, paralysis or death. Guests understand that these injuries or outcomes may arise from my own or others’ negligence, including that of the host, or from the conditions at the Activity location. Nonetheless, guests assume all related risks, both known and unknown to me, of my participation in this activity. Some of the known risks and precautions are noted below and guests have read and understand these: Pregnant women, children and those with heart disease are not allowed in the hot tub. If you are taking medication of any kind, or being treated for diabetes, low or high blood pressure, strokes, epilepsy, weakened immune system or other conditions, or are a frail elderly person, consult your physician prior to use of the hot tub. It is advised to limit your soak in the hot tub to no more than 15 minutes at a time. If you overheat and faint, you can drown. Shower when you get out to rinse off the hot tub chemicals. Get out if you feel dizzy, overheated, nauseous, or unwell. Stay hydrated before getting into the hot tub. Do not drink alcohol or use drugs before or during hot tub use. Please keep the hot tub clean and clear: Shower before you get in to get off most particles, oils, cosmetics and hair and skin products. No shoes, street clothes, pets or glass containers in or around the hot tub. Do not use soap and shampoo while inside the hot tub. Don’t get in tub if you have open sores or wounds, or cuts, or diarrhea. Close the lid properly when you are finished. Be careful when getting out so you don’t slip and fall.
