The house is well situated right in Dunmore Town with incredible views of the water, and includes 4 charming bedrooms, each with a newly renovated private bath. Nestled into lush vegetation at the edge of the bay it offers complete privacy while being very close to several of the islands best restaurants. The property also include the islands first saltwater pool and relaxing pool deck with harbor views. The space Enter the property through a charming arched wooden doorway into a lushly landscaped courtyard, complete with a dining table and access to the guest bedrooms, living room, and kitchen. From the courtyard, step into the airy living room with its soaring 20-foot ceilings and original pickled-cypress walls. Just beyond, you’ll find the dining room, bar/TV room, outdoor pavilion, and master suite. A separate back hallway also connects to the second and third bedrooms, while the fourth bedroom can be reached through the third bedroom or directly from the ocean-facing garden. The covered outdoor porch offers both dining and seating areas with sweeping views of the harbor and Main Dock—an ideal spot to relax and take in the activity on the water. Below the pavilion lies a saltwater pool and private dock, perfect for mooring your own boat, setting off in the house kayaks, or enjoying a sunset cocktail while spotting turtles, rays, and even the occasional manatee. From the property, the view across the bay to Eleuthera is stunning, especially at sunset. To the right, the waterfront town dock adds to the charm. Swim in the pool as you watch boats come and go, or take a short stroll along Bay Street to some of the island’s best restaurants and bars. Daily housekeeping and gardening services are included (except Sundays), and private chefs can be arranged for dinner. For added comfort, the home is equipped with a reverse-osmosis water system and backup generator. Other things to note Power and water can be major issues on Harbour Island. Power currently comes from 'temporary' diesel generators and the service has regular interruptions. Fresh water comes from Eleuthera via underwater pipeline and the aging of the pipe has caused the water to have an extremely high salt content. For these reasons, The Blue Ruin provides backup power via it's own diesel generator and a reverse-osmosis water system to filter and treat the water supply. We have very reliable high-speed internet via Starlink. The property is approximately 10 to 12 minutes walking distance to the beach and most of the island is very walkable. Renting a golf cart for a day or for your whole stay is a great way to have access to the whole island and is a fun way to get around and sightsee. This house is not available for parties of any sort, and can't be rented to any groups to anyone under the age of 21. The house has it's own private dock which can be used for your own boat, a rental to captain yourself or we can make recommendations on local captains, and fisherman to hire. The home also includes two single kayaks which guests are welcome to use. We require a minimum of a one week rental in December and March
