Imagine waking up to the crisp morning air surrounded by Nature. The Fire Pit is fully stocked so you can watch the stars dance in the sky while the only sound you hear is the crickets chirping. Whether you’re coming to town for a mini vacation of visiting friends or family for the Holidays, the Dairy Barn is the place to stay. The space If you enjoy privacy and connection to the past, you’ll appreciate the charm of this home. Located on our cattle farm at the end of a peaceful road, this offers more than just a house, it offers an experience steeped in history. In the summertime you can enjoy watching the hay being cut or watching the irrigation wheel watering the fields. Location is everything. We are located 10 minutes from the grocery store. We are centrally located only 30 minutes from all these beautiful places. The Buffalo National River offers floating, swimming, hiking; you can find entrances in all directions with each offering their own adventures. If you enjoy fishing Crooked Creek offers the best small mouth fishing in the state. If trout fishing is your pleasure, you will enjoy the famous White River. Drive a little further and you can enjoy Branson, Eureka Springs, Lake Taneycomo, Bull Shoals and Norfork Dams. Nestled on the hill, the property boasts seclusion and unique advantages. Enjoy relief from the summer heat, a break from the icy cold in winter, and the private natural creek that runs year-round. A playground for kids and nature enthusiasts alike. While this offers a sense of peaceful isolation, the convenience of a grocery store and fast food is just 10 minutes away ensuring all the essential amenities are within easy reach. *The Living Room is open and spacious complete with a Smart T.V. *The Full Kitchen can accommodate up to 7 guests comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked with the essentials to make your favorite meals. Everything is provided for a quick breakfast of cinnamon rolls or waffles/pancakes. *The bedrooms with queen beds all with windows for picture perfect views of our beautiful farm land. We have a small room with a twin bed great for children. *The back patio is our most popular place because the views are breathtaking. Equipped with an outdoor dining area, bar, games and a BBQ Grill with a smoker. *The outdoor space is the perfect place to relax sitting by the firepit or relaxing in the hammock. Enjoy watching the sunset or sunrise and listening to the sound of our private creek. We provide plenty of wood for the firepit. This property is steeped in history. The front porch hints of days gone by and sits adjust to where the Historical Olvey Hotel once stood, the ole timers would relax at the hotel and view the entire town of Olvey. Sitting on the banks of Meeks Creek this was once a major railroad in this historic town. The steam train would refuel from Lake Olvey while passengers would relax at the hotel. Guest access Self-check in is at 3:00 p.m. You will receive a message a few days prior to your arrival with the door code and check in information. Check out is 11:00 a.m. Parking is at the front of our Dairy Barn. Guests have access to the creek and the area around the creek. Often in the mornings you can enjoy the fog rising off the creek. The creek and field below are a great place to hike and explore. Other things to note We have a beautiful creek that has to be crossed to gain entrance to our home. Our low water crossing is solid rock and easy to cross. Very rarely is it impassable but sometimes Mother Nature sometimes throws a curve ball. There is a walk bridge that can be easily accessed.
