Steve’s Barn Lodge, Detroit River/Erie fishing

Beautiful and fun family-friendly retreat! Close to Metro Airport! Pet friendly. Perfect for out of town Detroit River/Lake Erie fisherman. Very private rural location with private access to Metro Park. An “Up North feel”. Lots of safe parking for your boat(s). 10 miles from Lake Erie Metro Park boat launch to fish the river or Erie. Quick 16 mile drive to Sterling State Park. Close to restaurants. Full kitchen and bathroom. 30 minute drive to downtown Detroit or Ann Arbor for sports. The space If you’re a fisherman, there’s two dual outdoor outlets for charging, and an outdoor water hose. I have a heated indoor fish cleaning station available, just ask. I bury the fish carcasses in a location on my property. Full size fridge/freezer to keep your fish cold or frozen. I’m often asked about the flooring. The hardwood floor in the main area is reclaimed gymnasium flooring from a local high school. Aside from the vintage mounts from my great grandfather and grandfather, everything else I have harvested. All but one whitetail mount came from the same property the Lodge is on. Other things to note Now with AC! Mini splits installed Spring 2025. Sleeping area has its own independent climate control for maximum sleeping comfort.
