Whether you’re celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary, or enjoying a relaxed family getaway, Sunset Chalet offers a setting that feels both special and deeply comforting. The space Sunset Chalet is part of a peaceful lakeside property that includes two charming treehouses (SkyView and MoonLight) and our main home, all nestled along the shore of Belgrade Stream. While each space is fully private — with its own hot tub, fire pit, and seating area — lake access is shared via two docks. You’ll have all the space you need to relax, with just enough community feel if you’re traveling with friends or extended family. Step inside and you’re welcomed by pine-beamed ceilings, soft light, and the quiet presence of the forest just beyond the windows. The upstairs living space is open and warm, with a king bed, queen bed, and a beautiful gas fireplace that adds instant charm—perfect for curling up after a long soak in the hot tub or watching a movie on the 75” Google Smart TV. The kitchenette is thoughtfully equipped with a gas stove, microwave, Keurig, mini fridge, dishware, and all the cookware you’ll need. A full-size refrigerator with freezer is available downstairs for your convenience—ideal for longer stays or family meals. Step out onto your private deck, where your Jacuzzi hot tub waits beneath the trees. Whether it’s your first cup of coffee or a moonlit soak, this is where time slows down and everything feels a little softer. Downstairs, the game room brings play into the mix—ping pong, foosball, board games, a retro arcade machine, another smart TV, and a second fireplace that adds cozy ambiance to rainy days or quiet nights in. It’s a space designed for connection, fun, and relaxed comfort. Both levels feature mini split systems to keep the temperature just right—warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and always just the way you like it. Guest access Guests have full access to their own private hot tub, deck, grill, and fire pit. The outdoor space is open and shared, and you’re welcome to enjoy direct access to Belgrade Stream and Messalonskee Lake, along with the kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, sandy lake entry, boat dock, swimming, and fishing throughout your stay. Other things to note Pets welcome: There is a $195 pet fee. Please be kind and let us know beforehand if you plan to bring your pet. Pets are always welcome as we know first hand that they are a part of a family unit! While visiting, we do ask that pets refrain from using the bathroom on the back yard. This is a place that all guests have access to and we want to make sure that the landscape stays the best that it can be! We also ask that our guests always pick up after their pets both indoors and outdoors. This includes keeping pets off the furniture as well. Thank you so much!
